We come to Anaheim several times a year, and every time, we make sure to stay at the Anaheim. The grounds stay remarkably quiet, despite sitting within the bustle of the city. The friendly, inviting lobby sets the relaxing tone, punctuated by an endearing mid-century vibe that invites you to stay and hang out. The grounds are calming, and offer space to unwind. The pool and facilities offer just what you need to make your experience complete. But, the people really set the Anaheim apart. The staff are friendly, always greeting you with a smile, and do a great job of handling their business. They go out of their way to know you, and your party, and take care of your needs. Everything about the entire stay is just wonderful! As the first face of the property Josh and Niecey were so welcoming, and helpful checking in. Mike, of course, greets us with a smile, every time. He’s a fantastic front man. Kristopher is always so welcoming. And we can’t say enough great things about Candi, the Front Office Manager. Whip-smart, organized, she runs a great ship, and makes sure the entire front desk staff and process operate as well as any hotel staff anywhere. Leo took us on a tour of the new upgrades in process. We are VERY excited to see what’s to come! The entire Anaheim Hotel staff have become friends of our family, and seeing them all during our stay has become a feature of our trips
This was a very clean room, close to Disney. Loved the balcony. Staff was very helpful and polite. Parking the car there while we went to the park was very convenient. We would stay again and recommend this hotel.

The Anaheim Hotel was the best! The service is Amazing! The Manager Candy is an absolute dream. Leo was Amazing and had our cabana lady poppin. Mike is more than a Bell Man, he is the sweetest! The hotel felt more like a resort. The kids had a blast and there is so much to do there. Definitely booking there again for our next trip. Thank you Anaheim hotel!
If I could give this 100 stars I would!! This place was awesome! Quick walk to Disneyland made the long park days so nice. We didn't have to deal with parking at the park, just a quick 5 min walk across the street to/from the hotel was perfect! I can't say enough about the staff. Every person we encountered was so nice and helpful and greeted us with a smile. The pizza in the restaurant hit the spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our room was spacious, clean and perfect for me and my two daughters. The manager, Candi was top notch! Our original trip was scheduled over spring break and our flight was cancelled after 15+ long hours of delays. I was in tears calling the hotel in the middle of the night when we didn't think we were going to make it. Candi was calm and supportive and assured me everything would be ok and she would help me get rebooked. I can't thank her enough for everything. Our rebooked trip was AMAZING! And we can't wait for our next trip back to visit again. You guys are THE BEST!
The hotel grounds and communal areas are great but the rooms need a refurb.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a partial park view room. When we checked in and got to our room, it was indeed a partial park view - if you leaned right over the railing and craned your head right.
Fair play to the reception desk, they moved us to another room which did have the advertised view.
When checking in, they charged us for 4 nights parking but I advised I was returning the rental that night. They said the charge would be removed. They also have reusable water bottles in the room and they charge around $7 for them. In the new room one was missing and I informed the desk of this also - again they said we wouldn’t be charged.
When back in the UK I checked my credit card statement and we had in fact been charged - fair play to the hotel they completed a refund but a bit of pain to have to contact them to get it removed.
The pizza place attached to the hotel made very good pizza.
Overall, stay was ok - we were in the parks the majority of the time so was just a place to sleep and it did the job. The location of the hotel was about 7 minutes walk to the gates at Disneyland so ideal.
Would I stay again - only if I got a good deal. Nothing was particularly wrong with the hotel but it didn’t wow me in any way.
The Anaheim Hotel is so lovely. It has an awesome retro vibe and a very fun atmosphere. We loved the pool area and the chairs and the towels that were easily available. The majority of the people we met at the Front Desk were very kind and considerate, the bar is great and the attached pizza press restaurant is fantastic.
There is water available in the lobby that is cold! And it’s an easy eight minute walk from the hotel to the gates of Disney.
Our room was lovely and was a partial view of the fireworks, we loved sitting on the balcony and watching them. The room was very clean and the amenities are great with the rosemary/geranium, body wash and shampoo and conditioner. Housekeeping was wonderful and very kind and did a great job.
A few concerns that I had about the hotel and the reason it got four stars instead of five are below:
- there is no elevator as it is an older hotel, just something to be aware of if you have a bigger bag in our lugging it up and down the stairs.
- my biggest concern happened on our last morning, when we first checked in, I specifically asked about late check out because I knew we had a later flight- I was told that I could check on the morning that we left, but it is usually available. Awesome, I was at the Front Desk the next day and asked again just in case and was told the exact same thing which is great no problem. On our last day, I went to the Front Desk to ask for late checkout and she said that it’s only available if the hotel is not fully booked, which it is so that would not work and if we did want it, we needed to pay $25 an hour after 11 AM. The part of this that is concerning to me is that I talked to two other people in this charge was never mentioned. If it had been, I could’ve budgeted for it at the beginning of our trip, but being told at the last minute, I don’t think is reasonable, and someone should’ve mentioned it or it should be written down somewhere. This really bothered me because as a Marriott Premiere member I always get late checkout, but chose this hotel specifically because of the pool instead of a Marriott. I think that there is some miscommunication regarding later checkout, if there is a charge, that’s fine. Just let people know about it instead of surprising them in the last 30 minutes of their day. The Front Desk person this one time was extremely rude and inconsiderate, and it kind of was a downer for the end of a wonderful stay.
Such a wonderful time. The staff was amazing! They are all so nice and super attentive. They made the stay an awesome experience. The beds were so comfortable. There was a ton of outside spaces to chill at or play games. The pool was such a fun time especially when the DJ came. Highly recommend!!!!
We stumbled upon The Anaheim Hotel in September when staying 3 days for Disneyland. The walk to Disney is much easier than walking through downtown to the Disney Hotels. We like the rooms much better than Disney rooms as well, very clean and peaceful. We have stayed at the Anaheim Hotel 3 different stays now, our favorite rooms are ground level with the patio to sit on or let the kids play in. We absolutely love the pool for its size, warmth, and cleanliness. Our kids wanted to leave Disney early just to go back to swim. All the staff is very warm and welcoming. We love the smell of the main building, as soon as you walk in it reminds us of a Hawaiian vacation.
Parking lot is a little tight but we also understand that isn't necessarily in control given how Anaheim is in general.
The Anaheim Hotel Staff helped make our Disneyland stay amazing. They were always smiling, friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff did a beautiful job on our room. Mike the bellman was so friendly and courteous helping us with our bags and getting into our uber. Anaheim hotel is our new #1 pick for our Annual trip. See you next year. :)
We always have a great stay at The Anaheim hotel.
This is my second time staying here. First time with my daughter, second with my husband. Had a great experience both times. The restaurant is great for a quick coffee stop in the morning and a late pizza at night. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is stylish.
Cute hotel
The rooms were pretty dirty. Fresh stain on the sheets and you can tell they don’t wipe stuff down
A nostalgic gem from the days of Disneyland’s beginnings in a convenient location. Great retro vibe throughout the hotel without feeling tired or shabby. Impressive amenities (huge pool, open areas, great F&B and room service options, friendly staff) for a reasonable price. Rooms felt updated while still maintaining the retro vibe. Great location!
Hotel is excellent even if Disney has become a joke.
What a great experience. My family and I came for 4 days and we were treated like VIPs from the moment we checked in until the minute we left. The manager, Ms Candi, introduced herself to us when we checked in and to her staff and checked in on us all throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff were courteous and accommodating, specially knowing we had a family member that had special needs and we had service animals with us. Ms Candi went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was amazing and such a short distance from Disneyland too! We will definitely come back!
The location to the park
They did not have a lot of basic things, We forgot a tooth brush and even cheap basic hotels provide a toothbrush if you forget one
Close walking distance to the park. Beds were comfortable. Pizza place connected to the lobby is really good. Shoutout to Candi!
