Exceeded expectations
Pros:

In another lifetime I worked at this hotel. Nearly 20 years later I was back. It's a completely different place now. It was nice then, now it's exceptional, and brilliant value for money.

We were only there for one night, but we'll definitely be back. Didn't eat so can't comment on that, but the bed was sooooooo comfy, great pillows. Huge shower with great pressure.

Good night sleep
Pros:

Lovely view out of my window, and a great night's sleep, no disturbance or noise! However that was the only highlight of the stay. No staff upon my arrival , when I started self check-in, he arrived, Smelly carpet in room from mould or damp or general wear n tear. Television signal poor ,channel kept dying. No staff at dinner reservation, long delay after breakfast produce below par not quality. A little more money should be spent on sausages and bacon. And train the staff, that they should always be present in a hospitality setting. Lack of inclusvity and diversity amongst staff- not representative of, the diverse makeup of Huddersfield.

5/5 but breakfast is cold.
Pros:

The establishment is great in nearly every way. Clean, quiet rooms. Comfy bed. clean showers. The staff are friendly. The breakfast being colder than room temperature is a major let down, especially considering we need to pay extra for that. There's never any excuse for cold buffet - ever. If this is improved, my stay would have been perfect. Hopefully this issue about cold breakfast can be utterly resolved in under 10 business days. I could solve it in 2 business days.

OK for a budget stopover, but I would not recommend for a special occasion.
Pros:

They had solar PV panels, so cared somewhat about the environment.

Cons:

Car parking was not included in the room cost, really disappointing knowing that it would not be used by anyone other than guests

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Comfortable beds.

Cons:

Lack of satchets of some drinks, asked for replacement not delivered 😒

Would like an option for superior twin room, facilities such as a fridge.

Mr & Mrs Very Happy
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Cedar court while celebrating our wedding. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful throughout, making everything feel special. The restaurant staff were equally exemplary the food and service were fantastic and helped make our special occasion even more memorable. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely experience! We really appreciate the small touches you made for us. (Apologies forgot the individual staff names for the evening of 9th May when we stayed)

Ps. We put a 4 rating for sleep quality because the room did get warm but there was a fan in the room which helped resolve this.

Great service! Great food! Great laughs!
Pros:

My friend and I have been coming to Cedar Court every Sunday lunchtime for almost 2yrs. From time to time we come in the week too. The staff here treat us like family.
Lola, Chantelle and Charlie go above and beyond for us every week. We keep the chefs on their toes with our added extras which THEY ALWAYS adapt for us (thank you Luther, you’re a star - Michelin) Abby, Damon, Fraser amongst so many of the staff are so helpful and always take time to make sure our service is 10/10.
