Good location, comfortable, friendly staff

Cons:

Showing some wear. Housecleaning had some small details missed like restocking coffee, makeup remover. Hair conditioner bottle didn’t work. Everyday after room was serviced room key did not work and had to go down to the desk to get key card reissued.

Excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Fort Bragg
Pros:

We just had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Fort Bragg.

From the outside, the hotel looks outdated and gloomy, but the room was actually clean, functional, and felt comfortable.
There was easy parking, and the breakfast was pleasantly extensive. There's definitely something for everyone.

But most impressive was the staff. The guy (whose name escapes me) at the front desk when we checked in was happy to provide friendly travel tips for the area.
And Odhinn from the breakfast service really went out of his way to help us with food allergen information.
Thank you both!

The one negative was the price of the room. They definitely take advantage of the limited inventory of branded hotels in the area.

Further, be sure to book the room online. After seeing the price online, I called the IHG reservation line to check if they can offer a better rate.
To my surprise, they quoted me a price, over $100 more than what the IHG website offered !!

Great place to stay when visiting the coast and Redwood Parks.
Pros:

Location was great for access to the waterfront restaurants and the Mendicino Botanical Gardens. The breakfast was excellent with a full buffet of offerings. The staff were friendly and able to give recommendations which is always appreciate.

Relaxing stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Fort Bragg. The property was very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing—exactly what we were looking for on our getaway. Our room had a balcony with a great view, which made it the perfect place to sit and enjoy the scenery and fresh coastal air.

Pros:

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

No vending machines and no water in the inside pool. Check in time is late. Had to call the front desk to ask how to turn on the AC unit in the room. After running the AC for a while it started making a ticking sound, very annoying. Overall not the best stay. I stayed there 12 years ago and recently just stayed there, no innovation.
