Hotel Caparena

Rooms and restraunt excellent during stay. Front desk does has a gentlemen who really enjoys rolling his eyes. NOT WELL CORDINATED FRONT DESK. When asked for help getting suitcases up a very tall hill which they originally helped us down the hill with, he rolled his eyes and told us we could drag them all up hill ourselves. We have three people in our family with injuries who could not pull weight up hill. Our driver was extremely kind and navigated the tight road down hill backwards to help us. Hotel offered zero help when leaving except handing our driver someone elses bag which further delayed our trip. Leaving other hotel guests missing luggage. We turned around gave them the bag. Then they called agian upset saying we had a 2nd bag which we did not have because we had already turned around and checked all our suite cases. Please expect confusion and rudeness as the front desk upon departure because caring for Guests stops the second you swipe your card.

Just back from a wonderful week staying at Hotel Caparena. The hotel is in a lovely spot right on the beach ( okay there is a train line in front of hotel but trains are not that frequent and really didn’t bother us). The hotel is spotless with rooms cleaned every day. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. The breakfast buffet is really good with lots of choice. The pool area is lovely with comfortable beds and a nice pool bar. The free shuttle to and from Taormina is excellent. We used it every day and the drivers were always polite and punctual. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which provides good links to other towns in the area. You can also walk along the beach and promenade into Letojanni which has some nice bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay if you don’t want to be right in the heart of Taormina but close enough to visit when you want to.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Caparena and enjoyed everything about it: professional and friendly staff in every aspect, Sicilian exterior, delicious food, lovely pool area, colourful interior details and nice atmosphere in general.

Reception staff was always nice and attentive - many many thanks for our room upgrade and early check-in opportunity. Premium room was spacious and spotless with great decor and comfy beds. Noise isolation was very good too, we could barely hear trains passing even though the railway is just in front of the hotel. They do slow down in the late evenings or early mornings, therefore, we had no issues and just loved the view (palm trees, sea waves and an occasional train).

The breakfast buffet was good and dinner just fantastic. We are very happy we chose HB option - menu changed every 3 nights so you will not get bored of the same delicious food. A special thanks to the restaurant manager and chef as they both made sure our child would get a wonderful dining experience too.

Another great bonus was a complimentary shuttle bus to Taormina and back (it should be noted that hotel guests need to reserve a seat for specific time slot in advance). Drivers were nice and mostly punctual, we only had to wait more than 30 minutes to get back from Taormina centre in the evening because of a heavy traffic that you can't always predict.

We stayed there at the end of April, therefore, the beach club was still under maintenance, but we still managed to enjoy some sunny days on complimentary loungers at the beach and Caparena pool. The only place we never went was their wellness club as we were busy with tours around gorgeous Taormina.

Overall, we had the best time in this fantastic hotel - it surely is very well managed and we would love to come back!

We stayed at Caparena for several days to watch our granddaughter while our adult children were guests at a wedding. The staff at this hotel are very responsive. I made an error when booking and they were extremely understanding and made ever effort to correct it for me.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight...they were outstanding with everything you could hope for, particularly if you enjoy sweet treats with coffee in the morning. There was plenty of seating inside and out. The staff is very attentive. As well, we had several wonderful dinners outside under the beautiful evening skies. I cannot express how kind and patient the servers were with our little baby granddaughter...such lovely people.

There is a large pool and kiddie pool with a bar just outside the hotel and another eating area and bar by the beach. The beach is fabulous and I highly recommend water shoes for the hot sand and pebbles/rocks. You will want to stay in the water and enjoy this fabulous retreat.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to Taormina - you can't beat this! You get to visit the most wonderful town, but then enjoy the beauty of the beach and not worry about parking.

Gute Dimension der Hotelanlage

It has a pool and a beach access with free loungers and umbrella. We enjoyed the garden and the nice main lounge/lobby area.

Era tutto perfetto dalla pulizia al servizio in particolare complimenti allo Chef che il cibo era squisito degno di un grande hotel e complimenti allo staff

Das Hotel war für uns eine sehr gute Wahl. Es liegt etwas abseits von Taormina und man geht dem Trubel aus dem Weg. Trotz der Lage zwischen 2 Straßen und der Eisenbahn, ist es ruhig. Die Aussicht aus den grißen Zimmern mit großem Balkon ist wundervoll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Restaurant bietet gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Pool, Strand u.a. Zubehör sind sehr gut. Wir würden wieder hin fahren.
