Provide an easy chair
Unfortunately, our one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express on North Smith Street in Chattanooga was a very disappointing experience.
The first room we were given had a filthy blanket with yellow stains of unknown origin and hair all over it. We reported the issue and were moved to another room, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The following morning, we discovered sugar ants crawling all over our belongings. They got onto our luggage and belongings and, incredibly, we even found them in our car after we left the hotel.
While the staff members we interacted with were friendly and courteous, the condition of the facility was anything but satisfactory. Cleanliness and pest control are basic expectations for a hotel stay, and in this case, those expectations were not met.
I hope management takes this review seriously and addresses the housekeeping and pest-control issues, because friendly staff cannot make up for significant cleanliness problems.
Clean, good breakfast
Cleanliness was evident throughout. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable.
The location is great. Easy to get on and off 75
All night long, people were opening and closing their doors to their rooms. Woke up at midnight until 3. It would be nice if the doors had a softer close on it so it wouldn’t slam closed

Limited parking if you hauling a trailer
We stayed at the IHG East Ridge for five days for a softball tournament. The hotel was well-located for all three of the fields we played on (no more than 15 minutes), close to downtown (15 minutes) and restaurants in many neighborhoods. The breakfast bar was well-stocked and clean. The staff of the hotel, particularly General Manager Tonya, went above and beyond great service including offering to dry wet softball uniforms for us between games, fixing a noisy air conditioner fast and efficiently and allowing us to leave one of our rooms one day early when we were out of the tournament earlier than expected.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff really attended to it well for the guests.
The parking lot is small and there were no spots left. The hotel staff did let us park near the front door as a result.
Beds were super comfy.
Location to theme park. Friendly and helpful “front desk staff”.
Bathroom shower was not properly cleaned. Hair from previous guest throughout the bathroom and in tub. The sheets wasn’t changed prior to my arrival. A towel was under the sheets. Had the sheets been changed the towel would have been noticed and hopefully removed and new linen.
Location to I-75, friendly staff, variety of breakfast options for all needs (plus to-go bags), clean room, and facility.
If I were being picky, the dining room chairs were very worn. Overall, this place met our expectations.
The breakfast!
Staff was very friendly. Allowed us to park bikes under the canopy due to overnight rain. Included breakfast was better than average.
Breakfast was good. The room was clean and had really good shampoo and body wash. Loved having in room coffee! Bed was comfy and clean. Snacks were available for purchase and they had a good variety
Nothing bad to say! Wish I could've stayed longer!
