Loved it, would come again.
Pros:

The area was very nice, with lots of public transportation around. At check-in, the staff were very nice and apologetic for the wait as there were a few people in front of me. The room was very nice and clean, as well as cold.

Cons:

I believe, there were only 2 elevators to go up to the rooms. The only downside really was that the bathrooms and the gym were downstairs.

Decent hotel not near anything.
Pros:

This is a decently restored hotel that probably is due for some refresh but not bad. I noted the paint on the bottom of the bathroom door was flaking off a bit. Shower was good but no grab rail and the shower floor tile a bit slippery. Good bed and room, and hotel very quiet considering it fronts on busy Van Ness Avenue. Problem is that there is really nothing of interest in this area, you have to either walk, which I did to Chinatown (quite a hike on the hills, took the bus back) or take an Uber/Lyft or bus. Back in the day, Van Ness was where the car dealership showrooms were actually in buildings, and there are a few still-Tesla,Toyota. Starbucks next to hotel not cozy, a lot of mobile orders delaying in-store orders, and no atmosphere. I would not return to this hotel because of the location.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this Marriott Hotel!
Pros:

The hotel and room were very comfortable and clean. The room had almost all of the amenities that you would expect in a nice hotel, including shampoo, conditioner and bath soap dispensers inside the shower stall.

Cons:

I would have liked to have access to a free coffee/tea bar where creamers and sugar/honey were available for making my morning tea.
The elevator was unusually slow.
