SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Warehouse Arts District

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this hotel. While providing transportation for one of the hotel’s handicapped guests, I was treated with disrespect and a complete lack of professionalism.

The situation was unnecessarily escalated by Office Manager Jasmine, Front Desk Manager Tia, Front Desk Clerk Don, and the valet attendant on duty. I explained several times that I was waiting for a guest with mobility limitations and would leave as soon as they entered my vehicle. Instead of listening or attempting to accommodate a disabled guest, the police were called and I was accused of trespassing.

After completing my transportation service, I returned only to drop the same paying guest back at the hotel. During that drop-off, Tia again informed me I was trespassing, and Jasmine and Tia contacted the police a second time. At no point was I disruptive, refused to leave, or interfered with hotel operations. I was simply picking up and dropping off one of the hotel’s paying guests.

I was also disappointed by Don’s conduct. When I asked for the valet attendant’s name because no name tag was visible, he refused to provide it. Instead, he contacted my business using first his personal cell phone and then the hotel’s phone while on duty, which I found highly unprofessional.

I expected professionalism and courtesy. Instead, I experienced poor communication, a lack of empathy, and unnecessary escalation. I hope hotel management reviews the surveillance footage and addresses the conduct of the employees involved so no other guest or transportation provider has a similar experience.

Great location for convention center access and not bad for French Quarter walking or taking ride share. Staff was ok, front desk didn’t seem knowledgeable in the area. I asked about taking the closest trolley and front desk person didn’t know. Eventually realized it was a couple blocks away. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok. Standard Spring Hill food. Though my wife is gluten free and the food servers had zero clue if anything served was gluten free. We ended up eating breakfast at nearby restaurants that served GF options. Pool was small, not enough shade (2 umbrellas) or lounge chairs (3) to accommodate the hotel size. Overall decent value.

Ubicación, limpieza, amabilidad de los empleados excelente, desayuno y el área excelente, limpia, cómoda y los empleados muy atentos, servicio de valet parking excelente y recomendado, área de la piscina limpia y cómoda. En general tuvimos una excelente estadía en el hotel, gracias.

Good clean hotel

Stayed here for a work conference. From the moment we checked in, everyone made us feel welcome. KO at the front desk was incredibly kind, personable, and set the tone for our entire stay. Every interaction after that was just as pleasant. The valet team was friendly, quick, and genuinely happy to help, and every staff member we crossed paths with greeted us with a smile. 10/10 experience.

Affordable

Terica at the front desk, who works the night audit shift, was absolutely wonderful. She assisted me with checking in late around midnight and was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. Later, around 3 AM, I needed to stop by the front desk for assistance, and she still had the same positive attitude and excellent customer service she showed when I first checked in. Terica truly made my stay more enjoyable, and her professionalism and kindness deserve recognition.
