Terrific central location and friendly helpful staff but disappointing housekeeping.
Pros:

Terrific central location within short walking distance of sights and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful reception staff and bellman.

Cons:

Very poor housekeeping. Bed not made properly with crumpled covers the first day, and cleaning was not done at all the next day (despite complaining about the poor cleaning the prior day). Came back from a long day of sight-seeing in late evening to an unmade bed, no fresh towels, no tissues, and no turndown. Definitely fell well short of Hilton standards.

Ein perfekter, entspannter Wienaufenthalt in einem Hotel das Flair und Charm versprüht.
Pros:

Wie waren zum zweiten Mal im Astoria und erneut begeistert. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück Spitzenklasse, die Lage phantastisch. Man hat uns gleich bei der Ankunft ein kostenloses Zimmerupgrade angeboten. Mit den Räumlichkeiten waren wir sehr zufrieden. Für einen mehrtägigen Wienaufenthalt ist das Hotel perfekt. Wir werden es ganz sicher auch in Zukunft buchen.

Cons:

Der einzige, aber wirklich minimale Wermutstropfen, war das Bad. Es wirkt mit einer Badewannendusche etwas aus der Zeit gefallen, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Pros:

The hotel was excellent overall. The location was perfect, right in the city center, and the property seemed quite new or recently renovated. The service, cleanliness, and overall comfort were great.

Cons:

The only issue was that I booked two rooms of the same category, but they were noticeably different. One room (224) was spacious and very comfortable, while the other (226) was significantly smaller and had a slight unusual smell. It was difficult to identify the source — perhaps wood or new furniture — but it was noticeable.

Apart from that, everything was excellent. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to Vienna, especially if I could get a room similar to the larger one I was given.
