Très grande et belle chambre, salle-de-bain très belle, propre et moderne

Cons:

1 seule chose : un membre du personnel très peu souriant (était chargé de l'accueil). Il a accepté nos bagages avant que nous puissions accéder à la chambre (=> OK), il les a fait monter sans qu'on lui demande ( => TB) mais par contre, aucun sourire, plutôt fuyant même. Il semblait de mauvaise humeur. Les autres membres du personnel étaient top.

We weren’t aware that our room would be up 4 flights of stairs which was hard with big suitcases.

Lovely hotel. Very convenient location
Pros:

This is a great hotel, but there’s a club next door or right under the bedrooms part of the building and we could hear bass until around 2am, even on weeknights.

Unfortunately road works on the neighbouring road marred our stay but this is clearly beyond the control of the owners

Good value but needs a tidy-up!
Pros:

Despite the slightly scruffy terrace and entrance, the food (in my case a Caesar salad) was well presented and good.
If the outside tables had been wiped and the terrace swept of its cigarette butts then it would have been a near-perfect experience. The beer is good and overall good value for money. It just needs to be cleaner.

Fun place to stay
Pros:

I thought this place was good and close to all kinds of shops , including a wash and fold laundromat. It is located right on the Royal Mile. The pub downstairs is very convenient. Thanks goodness they will carry your luggage up all the stairs since there is no lift. Sliding my luggage down the stairs was easy enough. Food in the restaurant there is excellent. Live music is played at about 9pm. Not traditional Scottish music but it’s quite nice.

Cons:

Some late night drunk was yelling at 4am and it woke me up.
