Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel

Location to the Grassmarket and Royal Mile was perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful! Easy access to the on and off city tour busses.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral und es war trotzdem ruhig.Im Zimmer gab es Kaffee und Tee und auf dem Flur einen extra Wasserspender.Das Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht um es ertsmal auszuprobieren, wir fanden es sehr gut und haben jeden Tag dort gefrühstückt ( pro Person 20€).
Das Personal im gesamten Hotel war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

First time in Scotland and a very positive experience! The hotel is located very centrally, professional staff and exceptional breakfast. Highly recommendable!

My friend and I booked our rooms at this hotel based on location, price, and previous reviews not knowing anything about Edinburgh or its surrounding areas.
We were given rooms close to each other on the same floor. I was simply stunned with the room when I entered. Greeted with a pile of folded towels on the bed with a welcoming rubber duck on top. (my friend was thrilled as she collects them). The room was spacious and very modern in decor. The queen sized bed was comfortable and the linens were soft to the touch. One downside was that there was only a duvet/comforter on the bed so you had nothing else to cover you if you got too hot throughout the night and needed to take the duvet off. The room had all the usual ammenities, iron, coffee maker, safe, etc including a small bar fridge. One thing I discivered was that while I was getting ready for bed , there were no USB ports to be found anywhere in the room that I could plug my hearing aid charger and phone into. Had to rush out to find a store still open that sold a plug adapter.
The bathroom had a separate shower stall in addition to a deep tub. Toiletries were also provided.
Did not realize that breakfast was provide with the room. You could either choose from their buffet or order off the menu. Good selection of breakfast items were available.
One of the two main reasons my friend wanted to vivit Edinburgh was to visit Greyfriars Bobby. We were pleased to find that this hotel was right around the corner from the graveyard where he is burried and the statute honouring him ! Across the street from the hotel is a small plaza with several restaurants, pubs, and the usual tourist shops. You also have a great view of Edinburgh Castle.
All in all, we were extremely impressed with this hotel and quite pleased that we had chosen it for our stay in Edinburgh. Will definitely stay here again if given the opportunity and highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh at The Apex Hotel. Good location for walking to the main tourist sites. Staff very friendly and helpful ..... we would stay here again.
