Great luxury feel in a great location with a reasonable value.
Pros:

This wonderful hotel is located below the castle across the street from some of the most fun pubs. Breakfast is healthy, tasty and filling. Staff went out of their way to help.

Cons:

Nothing. It was better than advertised

Great staff but a tired hotel
Pros:

great location and very attentive service from the staff.. Service was excellent, Hotel let the staff down.

Cons:

The suite we booked was a little shabby, coffee stains on the carpet by the bed and generally seemed it could do with a refurb. Bathroom was excellent clean and a great shower. Overall I didn't see the price for the suite as value for money. The lobby seat were work and torn and in much need of replacement.
Given the cost, being charged an irrelevant and nominal amount to extend the check out of 1 of our 2 rooms seemed a little petty.

Overall not a bad hotel and near to the hop on hop off bus routes
Pros:

Breakfast was OK but milk for the cereal was only semi skimmed and no full fat provided. The fruit was mainly fresh and not tinned. Didn’t have the cooked breakfast.

Cons:

No air conditioning in the room.

Not worse for that high cost!
Pros:

Very bad experience with one small room for £450. However the room is super warm, outside is 17C. Inside room above 25C. No air condition. Fan is noisy and almost useless. If open the window, super noisy. Worst experiences with super high cost. Bots sure how is it get so high rate. My whole 14 days trip in UK. From seven sister to skye, this is the worst hotel and highest cost hotel. Btw car park still charge for additional 20. Crazy!

A pleasant stay with an outstanding location and thoughtful hospitality
Pros:

The location is outstanding and one of the hotel's biggest strengths. It is within walking distance of most of Edinburgh's main attractions, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. We also appreciated the thoughtful birthday surprise for my wife, with chocolates, sparkling wine and a handwritten card waiting in our room. The restaurant staff were very friendly, and having complimentary still and sparkling water available was a nice touch.

Cons:

Some of the pillows didn't smell completely fresh, which made them feel less clean than expected and was the biggest downside of our stay. The breakfast was rather average and could offer better quality and variety. I also personally don't like twin beds pushed together to form a double bed.
