Village Hotel Bracknell

Carpet was dirty- orange food stains.
Room smelt of urine.

Noise of everyone in the hotel was woke up at 1 by people next door and took ages to get back to sleep. Normal cars parked in electric bays.

It’s a leisure centre with crappy rooms on top. You arrive and you have to check yourself in - reception staff are there but generally just to explain how you should do the check in yourself! So you arrive after a day’s flight and you’re greeted with instructions in how to check yourself in! You even have to make your own key. And the rooms are like student halls, super basic! Very noisy room right in front of parking lot. Not even a bottle of water in the room. No cleaning or changing of towels in 4 days. When asked to take the rubbish the cleaning lady was clearly stressed and hesitant. Perhaps I should do that myself too. Bunch of other surprises. Parking daily fee apparently had just doubled! without notice and the sign outside displays a lower price - staff weren’t even aware. Parking lot packed with gym members and vans, hotel guests don’t get a designated area often waiting for a space and spaces are cramped so in many cases you can barely open one door to get out. Hotel drive has no pedestrian crossing so walking to your car through traffic or towards the entrance can be dangerous. Lobby is a very busy space overrun by people using the leisure centre facilities and not hotel guests so it’s a stressful, busy environment. Extra charge for using the pool! Hot breakfast ends at 9! At 9am! At 09:00! Breakfast food is totally disgusting. Omelette comes white and clumpy. Coffee watery and tasteless, even the orange juice tastes cheap. Just disgusting. Imagine having to go next door to Starbucks for a coffee and to Sainsbury’s to grab an avocado and some bread cause the hotel’s breakfast is that bad - barely edible. Poor value for money - left more tired and stressed than I had arrived. Never again.

I was shocked to see the cleanliness of the room upon arrival. I also couldn’t sleep at all as there was loud music booming from the function room until 1am also the sound of the boiler was just as bad.

Not enough storage space or things like a chair in the room or a radiator to hang wet clothing or towels.

Our room was a little warm and we could't seem to lower the air con temperature

I have stayed here before and really enjoyed the shower but on this visit the water wasnt draining properly so we wasnt able to shower for more than a minute

The staff in the restaurant the evening we stayed except for 1 waitress were poor! And it cost so much money for what we got, I wanted to get my money back but my husband said to leave it, but I wasn’t happy as all, we got a shared platter and didn’t even get plates or cutlery and the food was cold.

It was so hot, couldn’t open window and air con wasn’t working. It was 31 degrees outside. We’re giving a fan but it didn’t do a thing.

Cleanliness was poor , shower was dirty and stained sheets . Pool closed as someone sick in pool and cleanliness of changing room poor

The cost of food was expensive, only had the breakfast once 1adult and 2 kids ££37.50 very expensive cereal an yoghurt 👎
