A Refuge
Pros:

This hotel was a quiet refuge for us as we tried to recover from a bout of illness. It fulfilled the purpose quite well.

Cons:

As is typical of many european hotels, you have to switch on the bathroom light before entering the bathroom in the middle of the night, flooding the bedroom with light.

Nice hotel but will be niceer if the reception is accommodating all guests the same/equally.
Pros:

Nice and clean room, hotel is located near boat pier and small shopping center. Very good breakfast.

Cons:

When booked we understand the hotel offer parking, however when we arrived, there is only one out of a few slots (assumed that it is hotel parking) when we inquired the reception said it belong to another guest who check in before us and they are gone and will be coming back (?.). That does not sounded like a “first come first serve basis nor reservation required” since there was not written when booking was made that you have to reserve, and when you do not allow people to reserve it means that guest can park where and when the slot is empty,

Pros:

Good location.

Cons:

Overall a unprofessional impression of the service. Reception was slow and it backed up fast during the check-in/check-out time. The breakfast was good but very busy and the staff felt stressed and dropped food and cutlery on the floor without picking it up. On check out day whilst packing up our things the cleaning crew came not once but twice and opened the door to our room even though it was one hour until checkout time.

We brought our dog with us and the hotel was not very pet friendly. Usually hotels who offer pets have a room that is located a bit on the side as not to disturb other guests and offer easy access to the exit. Also most hotels who allow pets have a selected area close to the breakfast buffet where you can bring your pet (lobby etc).

We probably won’t return to this hotel.
