On the whole, a solid place to stay for a reasonable price, just needs a few maintenance repairs.
Pros:

Convenient location for getting around Winston-Salem. They have comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, and a decent selection of items for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons:

This is our third year staying at this hotel and it could use some maintenance. The bathroom door rubbed against the floor such that you had to shove it open and close.

Didn't even stay thanks to the rude Manager
Pros:

Part 2 of what I didn't like because I didn't like anything at all except the attendant Patricia. Very nice and professional. The rest of this is a continuation of what I didnt like as I ran out of characters.....so I call the manager back after emailing her of my proof and let her know her professionalism is non-existent and she would get better results not being so combative for no reason. She then tells me that the pool status isn't stated on booking.com but on the website. And I informed her that I am not required to go to their website before I book. There are pictures and a list of all amenities on booking.com so why would I go to the website to see their current status? I also told her that she needs to update her profile on booking.com to reflect this information. Luckily after all this i did get my refund but it was no help from her. Booking did all the work. You're better off going to The Hawthorne before going here!

Cons:

1 million out of 10 would not recommend!!!! We pulled up to check out the outside and it looked ok so I booked. So I call before going in because booking.com advertises this place with 2 pools and we only saw one. I was ok with that but I just wanted to know if maybe they had an indoor also. I talk to this really nice woman I think named Patricia. I inform her of my booking as ask about the 2nd pool. She politely informs me that they only have one pool BUT it's not in service right now. So I am very bummed about this as we only chose this place for the pool and it said they have a great breakfast. So I tell her that is kind of a problem for me because I specifically want to swim... So we keep talking and I say something like at least y'all seem to have a very good breakfast from what I see in the pictures.... She then informs me that they do but only on the weekend. So now I'm upset because everything I came down is not accessible and I feel bamboozled. So I hang up with her and start a refund. Well it says for me to reach out to them to initiate the process so I call back. Patricia was still really nice but got to a point where she needed her manager and placed me on hold. A few mins later another woman gets on the phone and says shes the manager and I break down the entire spill telling her I'm trying to get a refund because what was advertised wasn't available. She starts fussing telling me that it is clearly stated that the pool is not in service and she will not be granting me a refund and she also tells me that nothing says that there are 2 pools. I continue to tell her it's def advertised as 2 pools and that there was nothing that said the pool wasn't in service. After going back and forth and her being rude while I'm jist following what booking.com told me to do. She tells me there's nothing that she can do on her end and she doesn't know why booking.com lied and told me she could and she hangs up.

Everyone EXCEPT THE MANAGER was willing to help us attend our great uncle’s funeral.
Pros:

The receptionist,Arianna, went out of her way to help us be prepared for my great uncle’s funeral at 11am. She made sure we were fed after 6 hours on the road and contacted her manager for an early check-in. Then the rating went from excellent to terrible.

Cons:

The manager refused to let us check in early despite being told that the funeral was at 11am. We arrived at 8am and waited until 9am to speak to the manager. When she didn’t arrive at 9, Arianna contacted her. There were rooms available but she did not put herself in our position and extend kindness.

Patricia at the nite desk was the MOST helpful person we have ever had at a hotel. She goes above and beyond, and is the nicest person.

Very pleased
Pros:

Love the staff, room size and the breakfast. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was well labeled and I especially loved the turkey sausage for non pork eaters. I love the new fresh pancake maker. Also very good variety.

Cons:

Time for new sheets and towels. They were good but I can tell a little worn. Sign where elevator is🤣 we walked past it twice 😳

Great stay and would stay again.
Pros:

It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Cons:

We needed extra towelings and desk clerk was not able to provide any at the time and promised to get us some which were never supplied.

Pros:

The motel was very clean I love it because yall have dove soap. lol I really did and the water is jus right.

Cons:

It wasn’t the property the surrounding was awful we heard Gunsl shots couple of times. I really didn’t like tht . Other then tht we love the stay very comfortable.
