Pros:

They have a room /suite for larger party, 5+ people. Close to Flower field and outlet.

Cons:

The check in and check out policy is so unfair and unreasonable. By far, this is the only resort that I’ve known the check in time is super late at 5pm and the check out is super early 10 am. And they never allow even an hour late check out. Because of this I may not reconsider staying in this hotel/resort again.

Wonderful experience
Pros:

Room, location. Not used Pools but they looked tempting.
One side is ocean view another side is Legoland. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Cons:

Breakfast is not part of the hotel, that may be the only negative point. though you have more than sufficient kitchen in the room.

We were well taken care of and loved our room the flower fields and the ocean view.
Pros:

The room was very clean nicely arranged. The view to the ocean and especially the flower fields was superb. We love the pool and used it every day.
A special note to Rose for her help at the front desk. She is a now a great friend.

We had the best time at the Grand Pacific Palisades and absolutely loved being so close to Legoland!
Pros:

The kid pool was amazing for our family! The room was the perfect size for our family of 6 and we loved have a full kitchen! The fridge was a bit smaller than expected, but the double bathroom was a huge bonus!

Awesome stay at a super clean fun hotel
Pros:

Love all the amenities it offered for the kids making their stay enjoyable. Love it had a full kitchen equipped with all you need and full size fridge which made it awesome to store our food and drinks. We made dinner the first night only and the rest we ate out

Wish they offered breakfast.. did see a breakfast station set up on Sunday but wasn’t too sure what that was

Good spot for an RCI property
Pros:

Given the fact that most RCI properties are subpar Grand Pacific Palisades is nice. The location is close to the beach and shopping but you will need a car. The area is noisy. The highway and noise on Saturday nights from the event space behind the property may be a consideration for some. The units are nice and very clean.

25th wedding anniversary vacation.
Pros:

The entire staff was professional and friendly during our week stay. Our 2 bedroom condo was upgraded to ocean view when we arrived at no extra cost. The condo was very very clean and looked just like the pictures. The resort property is beautiful and daily we went for long walks. We played many of the games there at the resort and had a great time together. This resort isn’t far from the outlet mall, restaurants,beaches , San Diego Zoo and San Diego Safari Park. We had a peaceful time and it was the perfect get away and time well spent together. We will be going back in the future and would recommend this resort. It’s around the corner from the Carlsbad airport. While we were there in January 2026 the weather was great.. daytime 75-78 and evenings 58-62 degrees. Not bad because a big snow storm was happening in our city while we were there. It was a beautiful vacation!!!!
