Slightly out of town, so in a quiet area, but only 10 minutes walk into the busy town. Rooms were modern and well appointed. We opted for a sea view and the added bonus was a view of Vesuvius. The pools are lovely and we never had an issue getting 5 beds together. Super breakfast selection. Taxis are incredibly expensive, charging 20 euros to get into town. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel staff / service was excellent. The breakfast buffet selection was really good.
Choice of dinner options is extremely limited, with one restaurant closed completely one evening for a corporate event, leaving a choice of two others which share the same menu. …
Geweldig zwembad. Top uitzicht. Vriendelijk personeel
Geen koffie op de kamer
הצוות חייכן ואדיב
ארוחת בוקר לא עשירה בירקות ולא בגבינות אין מספיק אצעה ללא גלוטן ולצמחונים
Felt like a 5 star hotel, rather than a 4 star. We stayed in interconnecting rooms which were extremely spacious - felt like a flat! Beds were comfortable, shower was great and so many lovely extra touches in the room. The pool was also great fun too - our boys loved using the interconnecting slopes as slides.
We sometimes found the service in the il Sorrento restaurant a bit slow. Also, my back didn’t quite agree with the sun loungers - they were a tad uncomfortable.
Just home from a lovely week in this hotel. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis. Rooms very spacious and clean. Breakfast was busy but the room is large enough that it doesn’t feel too busy. Great selection of food to cater for all tastes.
15 minute walk downhill into town where there’s lots of restaurants and bars. We were glad we could eat out to try all the different restaurants. There’s a supermarket on the walk into town. We took our time on the uphill walk home. Taxis are available but we never took any.
Pool area is lovely and we never had any trouble getting 3 beds together, area gets busy in the afternoon which is to be expected mid summer. Food at the pool restaurant was lovely and reasonable.
We always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant.
We went to Capri for the day also Positano. We preferred Capri.
All in all we had a great stay with lots of lovely memories and when we return we’d have no hesitation about returning to this hotel.
My family had a wonderful 3 nights here. The hotel is new and modern and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants are great and the service is excellent. The pool is a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. You can always find free sun beds. You can also easily order food and drinks from your phone for delivery right to your lounger. My only complaint is that food service by the pool ends at 5 and drink service ends at 6. The pool closes at 7. We would have loved to spend more time at the pool relaxing after a day out touring. The location is a bit outside of the city center (15 minute walk), but the views of the bay and Vesuvius are amazing. We’d definitely stay here again.
La struttura è bellissima.camere confortevoli vista terrazzo stupenda.
Per arrivare in centro si va bene è in discesa. Ma non rientrate troppo stanchi che vi aspetta una bella salita 😂
It was clean. Staff were amazing and overall I
Loved it.
Overall an amazing stay. We were here last year as well and the pool seemed warmer this year! Breakfast buffet always good, minus a few days that everything seemed cold, even the water for tea! Our only negative.
The housekeeping staff work so hard and the rooms are spotless.
Pagoda pool bar and restaurant is very good, whether food and drinks are delivered to your poolside seats, or you sit at a table in the bar. Pizza and fries always arrives hot and is delicious. The chicken Caesar salad, and Club Aut sandwich were excellent too. I’ve never seen my kids eat so much salad.
The reception staff have been amazing. Our flight was cancelled at 2am the day of our flight. British Airways was able to book us one more night here, and reception was able to get us in our new room as soon as we settled up our original bill. So friendly and helpful. I can’t thank them enough!
We were in the garden view room. We had a beautiful view of Mt Vesuvius, and there were fireworks a few nights. Beautiful.
Location is in easy walking distance to the town. We happened to be here with large groups and it tended to be loud at times, but nothing too bad. We had some pickleball enthusiasts that played early in the morning and later in the evening. They were having a great time!
Honestly, it was a great stay. If you are looking for a place in Sorrento that has everything, this is the place. Well worth it.
We stayed in the Sea view Jr Suites…Amazing spacious rooms with the view of the sea nice furnishing modern restrooms bathtub standup shower double sinks big closet. Great location to Sorrento center where there’s lots of shops, and restaurants. 10 to 15 minute walk from hotel to the city center. Staff was professional, courteous and helpful. Room was nice and cool! They had several restaurants on site at the hotel. The grill was amazing. Great BBQ steaks, lamb chop. Etc. for breakfast they had a big buffet area was huge and they even had a food section for children.Great experience overall definitely returning to this hotel again!
This was our second stay at this hotel. On the positive side, we found the room to be clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had a garden view room and really enjoyed the private patio and the high ceilings. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast is exceptional. The selection is outstanding, and the views from the breakfast area are absolutely beautiful.
There are, however, several areas where the hotel could improve.
First, our bathtub had an extremely slow drain—to the point where it essentially didn't drain at all. That is something housekeeping SHOULD have noticed while cleaning the tub (?), but unfortunately it wasn't addressed. Minor maintenance issues happen, but I shouldn't be standing in several inches of water while showering at a hotel charging €550 per night.
Second, as many other guests have noted (and as we did during our previous stay), I still don't understand why the pool closes at 7:00 p.m. Most of our tours didn't end until around that time, making it impossible to enjoy the pool after a day of sightseeing. For a resort at this price point, those hours are simply too restrictive.
Finally, I raised this same concern years ago, and nothing has changed, which suggests that guest feedback isn't being acted upon. The fitness center has just one treadmill. While I was using it, other guests were waiting, which made me feel rushed to finish my workout. There is really no reason a hotel charging over €500 per night should have only one treadmill, especially when airport hotels costing a fraction of the price often have several. The air conditioning in the fitness center also wasn't working well, making it uncomfortable to exercise. These may seem like small details, but at this price point they matter.
One additional improvement would be to offer a shuttle to and from town. The hotel is far enough away that taking a taxi is often the only practical option after a long day, and the minimum fare is €20 each way. Those transportation costs add up quickly, and a complimentary shuttle would be a welcome amenity for guests.
Overall, we enjoyed many aspects of our stay, particularly the room and the outstanding breakfast. However, for the rates this hotel charges, I expected better attention to maintenance, amenities, and guest convenience—especially when these same concerns have been raised by guests for years without apparent improvement.
Everything.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!
Staff at desk and around pool was incredibly helpful . Nice room cleaners.
Shower drain was clogged. Called housekeeping, but they never came to fix it.
The property was very luxurious.
The executive bar being far away from the pool.
Beautiful hotel with super clean and spacious rooms. Grand lobby, amazing cascading pool and delicious food at the Japanese restaurant! It was a 10 minute walk to town, but would not think twice staying there again!
