Fantastic stay..
Very clean and classy Hilton hotel. Bottle of prosecco on arrival - lovely touch.
Rooms cleaned daily and pool and views excellent. Breakfast was good but pool bar food and drinks pretty pricey. Cocktails on top floor worth a view but again question the value.
Reception helped me on first day with a medical request. Superb service.
Improvements / suggestions Gym is poor, very small and wasn't great that the indoor pool was closed ( not sure if seasonal but was hoping to use sauna etc)

The hotel delivers exactly what you would expect from a 4 * Hilton. Would I stay again if I was in Sorrento … I’m not sure.
Points to note..
It is a Hilton hotel … there is no authentic vibe.
The pool area is big for Sorrento … but extremely tight … and there is lots of litter/food debris around beds by the end of day. Beds can be scarce but there are extra beds in the garden area.
Breakfast is an efficient well oiled machine with a great food selection which is diligently replenished … in a large soulless function room with fantastic views. It is all indoors so benefits from ac. But is not a leisurely experience. The option to have take away coffee was great.
Staff will help … when asked … but are not proactive … or particularly engaging.
It is a good 15/20 min walk down into town which is good for daily step count. Taxis are expensive. We were charged €25 for a 5 min journey to the Port to pick up a tour at 7:40.
Our room was in a smaller block and it was awkward to access dining etc as always had to go via reception. Lifts are very slow and stairs are many … 90 from room to pool for us … but again good for the step count!
Room was spacious and functional (open shelving rather than drawers) with very effective use of mirrors. We found there was not enough storage for 3.
We had an amazing view of Vesuvius … and also the noisy ac units below …reception were not that helpful in offering an alternative.
Excellent pool play list! … and well designed sunbeds with built in overhead shade.
I stayed at Hilton Sorrento Palace and found it to be one of the most expansive and resort‑like properties in the Sorrento area. The hotel is large, beautifully maintained, and designed for relaxation, with a layout that feels airy and open compared with the more compact hotels closer to the town center. One of the highlights is the lemon garden area — a spacious outdoor zone filled with citrus trees, comfortable seating, and a relaxed evening atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to unwind at night, enjoy a drink, or simply take in the scent of lemons under the warm Sorrento air.
The rooms are generously sized, especially by Italian standards, and many come with large balconies offering sweeping sea views. Waking up to the Bay of Naples from a wide terrace is one of the most memorable parts of staying here. The connected swimming pools are another standout feature: multiple levels, plenty of space, and a resort feel that makes it easy to spend an entire day lounging. The only drawback is that there’s very little shade during daytime, so the sun can be intense — something to keep in mind if you’re planning to stay poolside for hours.
Breakfast is well regarded, with a good selection of hot and cold items, fresh pastries, fruits, and made‑to‑order options. It’s not over‑the‑top luxury, but it’s plentiful, fresh, and satisfying, especially before a day of sightseeing or relaxing by the pool.
The main downside is the location relative to transportation. While the hotel sits in a quiet, elevated part of Sorrento with beautiful views, it’s not close to the train station. Walking is possible but tiring, especially with luggage or in summer heat. Taxis are available but can be difficult to secure during busy periods, and fares are noticeably expensive for the short distance. This is the one logistical challenge that many travelers mention.
Overall, Hilton Sorrento Palace is a spacious, comfortable, and resort‑style hotel with excellent facilities, beautiful sea‑view balconies, and a charming lemon garden perfect for evening relaxation. If you don’t mind being a bit farther from the train station — or are comfortable relying on taxis — it’s a wonderful place to enjoy the slower, scenic side of Sorrento.
This is our second time here and we are happy we stayed again.
I wish there was a shuttle to town but the walk isn’t terrible. A shuttle would be nice.
