Meh at best. Probably better places to stay but could have just been our specific room.
Pros:

Sometimes I hate "stars" because they don't tell the full story but considering our experience, the 2 stars is far. I also fully admit we just decided to deal with the bad because we had already unpacked, etc so didn't want to deal with moving to another room or extended time with a repair person for the AC. We've done that before in another hotel and it was a pain. I also fully admit that a lot of this is based on hearing how good Holiday Inns usually are and having just stayed in a Marriott (very good) the night before.

Good: The breakfast was about as good as any complimentary breakfast we have ever had. Seriously amazing stuff and ALMOST enough to offset the bad.

Bad: All the hard floors in the room were sticky. It was probably just the cleaning solution they used but it was a little gross. DISCLAIMER - IT WAS OVER 100 degrees when we visited and I'm sure it's possible the AC in the room was just struggling but that said, for our 2 night stay, the room never really cooled down at least enough where we were comfortable. This includes it running at 60 degrees the entire time we were there. The shower literally took 5+ minutes turned fully to the hottest setting before it got hot. We found this out the hard way the first time as midway through a lukewarm shower it got super hot. The beds were really hard but that is strictly personal preference and I don't really think that's "bad" but it was for us.

Friends trip
Pros:

Location was good and the hotel was clean . Breakfast was good besides the grits were very gritty 😬

Cons:

Our bathroom sink was stopped and water was draining out very very slow , very annoying. The shower curtain wasn't long enough for the tub/shower and water was getting on the floor 🙃 breakfast was good except the grits were very gritty and lumpy 🤮 need new pillows on bed , way to soft and uncomfortable
