Style and comfort in the midst of chaos. Management here has analyzed every part of a hotel stay and has fine tuned its delivery of services. Every staff member seemed happy to be there and was welcoming. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well furnished. Wait staff in restaurant was attentive and the food was great. Lobby personnel seemed genuinely determined to be helpful.

Vedashee did everything she could do to get all of my needs met. She made sure the food was catered to my needs, she was incredibly polite, friendly and professional. I am Very happy with the high level of service received from Vedashee and all of the staff at the Taj Mahal hotel in New Delhi. Definitely recommend the Taj Mahal because of them!

I recently stayed at Taj Mahal, New Delhi from January 29 to 31, and extended until February 2. Check-in was handled smoothly by Mr. Karan, and we being Taj Innercircle / Tata Neupass Platinum members, were upgraded us to a beautiful Taj Club Suite on the 11th floor (Room 1129), very kindly by Mr. Karan. The suite was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable—truly a highlight of the stay.
The service throughout was exemplary, as expected from Taj properties. Mr. Karan was particularly helpful, arranging in-room dining from the renowned Machan café when my child was too tired to go downstairs—the food was delicious and arrived promptly.
The Taj Club Lounge was, as always, outstanding. The team—including Mr. Varun, Mr. Des Raj, and Mr. Mohit—was warm, attentive, and courteous. At Machan, Deepak ji, Ms. Tanvi, Mr. Gurwinder, and the rest of the team delivered fabulous service and meals. House of Ming (HoM) was equally impressive, with Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Parveen, and the chef providing excellent dining experiences. Housekeeping staff (including Mr. Prem and Mr. Rajinder), bellboys (such as Mr. Govind), doormen, and the main porch team were all consistently professional and friendly.
We hired a hotel car for a day, and driver Mr. Vipin was excellent. The concierge (I believe Ms. Shraddha at the Bell Desk) arranged everything seamlessly.
During checkout with Mr. Aryaman at the Front Desk, I decided last-minute to extend my stay. While direct re-booking wasn't possible at that moment, I managed to secure a room via the Taj app. Thankfully, Mr. Aryaman and Ms. Deepika again upgraded me to a regular Taj Club room for the additional nights. With the great views of the Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace) !
The second portion of the stay was equally wonderful: the Taj Club Lounge and restaurant teams remained top-notch. I enjoyed a great haircut at the salon by Mr. Rakesh, and housekeeping (Mr. Chop), laundry, and shoe-shine services were efficient and reliable—the 8-hour laundry turnaround was a nice touch. Final checkout at the Taj Club Lounge with Mr. Shauryaveer was quick, effortless, and a great experience; I'll definitely opt for lounge check-out in future stays.
The staff across the board—from front office to F&B, housekeeping, and concierge—made this a memorable and highly comfortable visit. The hotel's hospitality truly shines.
One ongoing frustration I've encountered across multiple IHCL properties (at least 15 attempts at various Taj hotels): the Taj InnerCircle high-speed Wi-Fi login via mobile number rarely works, as the OTP never arrives. I've confirmed with IT teams at several hotels that it's a known issue, and guests must fall back to the standard Wi-Fi (using room number and last name). During my stay, there was also a brief mobile network issue, which complicated app-based booking, and staff couldn't provide temporary Wi-Fi access until check-in. This is a small but recurring inconvenience that could be improved for loyal guests.
Despite this, the exceptional service and warmth from the team more than made up for it. Highly recommended—I'll be back!
We recently stayed at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and "delighted" is an understatement. From the moment we checked in until the second we left, the hospitality was absolutely world-class.
The team went above and beyond to make our milestone feel special. The room decoration was stunning and the surprise anniversary cake was such a thoughtful touch that really made our day. We also spent a good amount of time at the Taj Club, which offered a perfect, relaxing vibe.
A few other highlights:
The Food: Every meal was sumptuous and packed with flavor. A huge shoutout to Chef Aashi for the incredible culinary experience!
The Pool: We loved the swimming pool area—it was impeccably clean and a great spot to unwind.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the people. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff who made our stay so seamless and warm:

Breakfast was great, but we ended up waiting for about 45 minutes because of the rush, and when we finally got seated, the juices and other buffet items were already removed. However, the staff was kind enough to get us what we needed from the kitchen.
