It’s looking dated especially the bathrooms. We’ve been there regularly since 2012. Too many steps. One lift out of order. Only access by stairs to top floor.

Pros:

Le lit est très confortable. La climatisation est un vrai plus en cas de fortes chaleurs . Très proche de la gare, plus simple pour se déplacer ensuite

Cons:

Manque de pression d'eau (pas simple sous la douche)
Nettoyage des chambres en milieu/fin d'après-midi...

Lived up to expectations
Pros:

Very convenient - room was comfortable and breakfast was good

Cons:

Gym was tiny and very hot. Lift was unreliable. We could only get one room key

Ariston greatness
Pros:

I loved the location... it was proximate to every thing I needed. Just because a location may periodically have people around who are down on their luck doesn't mean it's an unsafe location. I was not bothered by anyone and the access to Roma termini, great rooftops, amazing restaurants all outweighed whatever negative comments others have mentored.

Cons:

The bathroom was a little dated and the gym lacked AC but just led to a more intense sweat

Pros:

Close to train station and local travel points for exploring the city.

Cons:

Smelt like urine when entering and exiting the establishment, seems like a lot of people urinate just outside the building.
Drains in hotel were blocked, did report, but nothing was done about it.
Dark and gloomy rooms and passages.

Pros:

Ubicación excelente. A pie o en transporte público a cualquier lugar. La zona está bastante mejorada comparada con un año atrás. 👏

Cons:

Todo bien excepto que en los tres días que estuvimos el ascensor principal no funcionaba.

Very Disappointing Stay

The only positive thing about this hotel was the staff—they were polite and friendly. Unfortunately, everything else was extremely disappointing.

This hotel is advertised as a 4-star property, but it felt more like a no star hostel. It certainly does not deserve its 4-star rating. The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and nothing like the photos. The overall condition of the hotel did not justify the price.

The biggest issue was the neighborhood. It felt unsafe, especially in the evenings. Even several locals warned us to be extra careful because of the high number of pickpockets in the area and advised us to avoid certain nearby streets. That made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay.

I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. The staff deserve credit for being kind and helpful, but they cannot make up for the poor quality of the hotel and the disappointing location.
