Please note: During the summer season, the property has a pre-payment policy where 100% of the first night will charged at time of booking.

Please be sure to check for road closures during winter months. Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until late May. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.

Please note: This year, the Tioga Pass will be closed until late June.

Had a very nice one-night stay in a very quiet location up in the woods.
Pros:

Room was very good and comfortable. (You need to "like" stairs!)
Staff was very friendly.
Bar in lower level was a great place to unwind at night.

Pros:

I liked the room. Bed was comfortable. I liked the mountain view and balcony.

Cons:

Front desk lady had an attitude. Don't try to check in a minute before 4.00 pm. Doesn't happen.
Shower had some hair on the Wall.

Great facilities, comfortable and accommodating. Would recommend.
Pros:

Really nice property in great location. Very reminiscent of European ski chalets. Staff very accommodating as we had late check in and early check out due to our itenary which was no problem. Good facilities and lovely room.

It's a charming place but the carpet has to go and the price was not competitive.

Cons:

Disgusting carpet, gaps in the blinds allowing people to look into the room from balcony. Breakfast not available until 8:00. We stayed at another location earlier in the week and the price was $50 less expensive.

Classic alpine lodging next to Mammoth Canyon Lodge
Pros:

Austria Hof is in a great location right next to Mammoth Canyon Lodge, ski lifts, and mountain bike trails. We appreciated the last minute availability, affordability, and helpful, kind staff. The bed and linens were great and the hotel seems to be popular even outside of the ski season. The continental breakfast offerings were also a bonus. We were grateful for the use of the hot tub.
