Very disappointing and terrible value for money
Pros:

Grounds were beautiful

Cons:

Shower/Bath did not work
Toilet ran intermittently all night
No elevator to second floor room
Receptionist told us that Booking.com guests are routinely given inferior rooms.
Room furnishings were of Holiday Inn Express quality - in a hotel that claims to be 5-star

Pillar & Post a must visit vintage hotel
Pros:

First time visit. The place was amazing in every aspect. Wish we had brought bathing suits as the pool looked amazing. Staff very accommodating brought food order out to a poolside table. I don’t know how they could improve anything. 4 hour drive to get there but we both agree we will return. Shopping boutiques just a couple of blocks away.

Cons:

Nothing. It was simply amazing in all respects.

Honeymoon spot
Pros:

Stunning property. The courtyard was beautiful with all the hydrangeas blooming and the pool area was great as well. Staff is super friendly. Loved there was also an inside pool and hot tub.

Lovely place to stay while visiting Niagara on the Lake
Pros:

Charming hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
A slight problem with housekeeping but the managerial staff compensated very fairly and the situation was rectified. The room was cozy and well appointed. The dining room served very delicious meals and the server David was very good at his job.
The pub atmosphere was good with live music. Cocktails, wine choice and food options all very good.
The hotel was close to the town center, wineries, and shopping.
Would recommend this property.

A nice venue but not quite worth what they charge.. More 3 than 4 star

Cons:

Staff turn a blind eye to people breaking rules.
Room was nice and while
On the surface it looked clean, it was very dusty and vents / air conditioner were dirty.. they should do better given what they charge.

Overpriced.
Pros:

The garden opposite it.

The pools were tiny and overcrowded. There was no clear separation between the poolside and the reception bar area as food and drink was bought from there to the poolside.

Fantastic stay loved it
Pros:

Very friendly staff and helpful with any thing you needed. The location was amazing within walking distance of shopping and options for dining. We enjoyed our dinner in the Cannery restaurant in the Pillar and Post. Amazing food and service it made our stay.

A great place to stay for a family excursion to explore Niagara - the pool was a big bonus!

A wonderful stay in a dated hotel with amazing staff and incredible pools - indoor AND outdoor.
Pros:

This is a nicely appointed hotel, with tremendous staff and an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a hot springs (hot tub), a spa, a gorgeous garden, and a restaurant on site. The fun and quirky thing about this hotel is that they encourage you to wear your robe around the property, to everywhere BUT the fancy Cannery restaurant. We loved all of our servers - they had so much personality and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time when we ate in the Lounge and poolside. The rooms are clearly receiving attention; the bathrooms looked new and there were modern amenities like a Nespresso machine. The gardens across the street are INCREDIBLE. There is an Outpost there where you can grab a drink and some nibbles to walk the grounds. The pools, the comfy room, the gardens, and the food make this a nearly perfect place to stay! It's quite close to a few wineries, and the hotel offers free drop off and pickup shuttle service that can take you to those.

Cons:

Some parts of the hotel are strangely dated - the carpets in the hallways have a specific 90s pattern and are worn. The "palm trees" in the indoor pool area are COATED with dust on the top, and while it's hard to imagine how they could even be cleaned based on the positioning, if they were removed altogether it would feel less dated in there. There is a buffet breakfast in the Cannery, so while you'd probably LIKE to wear your robe down to breakfast, you cannot, haha. It would be great if there was a grab-and-go option for breakfast. Sure, you can get room service, but even at smaller properties like The Scott in Scottsdale who don't have space roll out a table with yogurt and breakfast-y things to grab. There is free coffee in the lobby, which is delicious, but there's nowhere quite close enough to walk to and quickly grab breakfast. The "gift shop" has bathing suits, pajamas, and a few souvenirs, but that's also a space that could be renewed to offer snacks when you don't quite need a whole meal.
