Terrible stay
Pros:

Absolutely terrible. Worst staff. Security didn't make it feel safe there at all. There's a video and witnesses of him cussing out a guest in front of the child. Also, he was yelling at his own staff. Very unprofessional and he was reported to the company he works for. The front desk doesn't care about guest either. Very rude. Terrible attitudes. Not a friendly place especially staying with kids. Very dirty. Needs an upgrade. Roach traps inside the units. Elevators don't work sometimes and during the stay a father and daughter were stuck in the elevator for over an hour and they seemed to not care so another guest called the fire department since the hotel Staff didn't the help. Save your money. Overpriced to have a terrible stay.

Happy days at the Banyan
Pros:

We are currently staying here in an apartment with friends.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, has a huge oven and large fridge, microwave, all great for cooking meals.
It is very well set up with two double beds and also a convertible sofa in the living for sleeping.
Lots of extra bedding and towels supplied, even beach towels.
From the balcony we can sit and watch the surfers at Waikiki Beach enjoying a coffee, freshly brewed in our apartments coffee filter machine, magic on a early Hawaiian morning.
There is a great swimming pool and 3 hot tubs at the complex, the hot tubs are wonderful after the beach swim.
The apartment is a short 4-5 minute walk down to Waikiki beach for the swim.
A lovely place to stay with friends or family.
Good value if you consider being able to cook own meals and excellent location.

About Aston Waikiki Banyan
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel in April 2026. One disadvantage of the hotel is that it is a bit outdated. However, the room was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions about Waikiki and Honolulu.
Our flight was very late in the evening, and we were able to store our luggage in their storage room all day. As a huge bonus, they offer complimentary showers even after check-out. What else could you need for a vacation?

Booking with Booking.Com doesn't guarantee a bed, according to Aston
Pros:

The space was clean and the woman that checked us out was kind.

Cons:

We booked through Booking.com- it was the first option that came up when I looked up rooms in the area and the cheapest option, sounds good. My parents and I traveled for one night from Lahaina, Maui so I can walk commencement to graduate. When we booked, I put 3 adults, it auto-generated a 1 king, 1 sofa bed option. Sofa beds are good for me, my parents take the king, it makes sense. Nope, apparently it's just a suggestion. We checked in and they confirmed, "one 1 king, and 1 sofa bed?" Yes! :) They told us to take our time going up to the room as housekeeping inspection was still pending completion. We moved slowly, sitting in the lobby, chatting. We get there and housekeeping is getting there the same time we are. They let us know the two twin beds weren't connected to make the king; we can "wait for someone to connect them or leave them as two twins." We decide to just take the two twins. There is a roller bed in the room. Housekeeping says, "Oh, we're going to take the roller bed away. Do you just want it as extra?" Mmm, well we're going to use the sofa bed but you can leave it just so we can just go in and finally put our things down. "Ok! Let us know if you want us to take it out." Turns out there's no sofa bed. We left for the graduation ceremony and didn't return until 11pm, ready to knock out. But I had no bed. I tried the roller bed, the mattress is real thin and you feel the metal prongs on your back. It hurts! We called the front desk because there is no sofa bed for me. They insisted it was actually a futon, it didn't move in any direction, it just a couch. They then insisted that's why they left us the roller bed. I told them housekeeping left it "as extra," and both housekeeping and check-in person confirmed a sofa bed. Then they insisted that my request for a sofa bed was just a suggestion, they don't guarantee what we ask for. They said, "Sorry? haha.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

Close to shops, convention center and location is perfect. A lot of shops and restaurants. Beautiful views on the 38th floor, kitchen and very spacious than other hotel we'vebeen too. Staff are friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for the price.

Cons:

Pull out sofa bed was hard to sleep on. Room slightly outdated.

嵐のせいもあって停電してシャワーも水なので浴びれず電気も2.３日復旧しなかったので別のホテルに移動しました
キッチンがついてますが換気扇が全く機能せず部屋中煙だらけになり、服も臭くなりました
その煙のせいなのか警報の誤作動が何度もあり真夜中に外に何度か出されました
部屋によってだと思いますが、清潔感はないです。水回りも狭く、タオルの補充や部屋の掃除も言わないとしてくれないです
ランドリーもコインが使えると書いてありましたコインは使えませんでした、現地のランドリーカードが必要です、それを購入するのにJCBのカードと現金は使えませんでした
