This was my third stay at the Dom Pedro and I will always recommend it very highly!
The only downside is the fact that the sauna was out of order (during my 2nd and 3rd stays, 2 weeks apart). I would personally also like a darker light in the steam room as it feels a little disproportionately bright compared to the rest of the relaxation area. These are my only quibbles, however!

Falta absoluta de profesionalidad y de coordinación por parte del personal de recepción.
A nuestra llegada nos informaron, con muy buenas palabras, de que realizarían una preautorización en nuestra tarjeta de crédito por el importe total de la estancia más un 10% adicional para cubrir posibles consumos extra. Asimismo, nos aseguraron que dicha retención sería liberada automáticamente al realizar el check-out.
La realidad ha sido muy distinta. Han pasado ya más de 15 días desde que abandonamos el hotel y la cantidad retenida sigue apareciendo bloqueada en nuestra tarjeta. El hotel nos cobró correctamente el importe total de la estancia en el momento del check-out, pero no liberó los 2.200 € retenidos, lo que ha supuesto que una parte importante del límite de nuestra tarjeta continúe inmovilizada e incluso nos haya generado problemas para utilizarla con normalidad.
Lo más decepcionante es que, tras presentar dos reclamaciones, la única respuesta recibida por parte del hotel ha sido que tengamos paciencia y que ya lo devolverán. Considero que esta no es una forma adecuada de actuar para un establecimiento de cinco estrellas.
Un hotel de esta categoría debería gestionar este tipo de operaciones con mayor profesionalidad, transparencia y respeto hacia sus clientes. No es aceptable cobrar correctamente la estancia y mantener, más de dos semanas después de la salida, una retención de esta cuantía sin ofrecer una solución efectiva ni una explicación convincente.
Mi experiencia ha sido muy negativa y, mientras esta situación no se resuelva, no puedo recomendar este hotel a otros viajeros.
Una gran decepción. Cero estrellas en atención al cliente y gestión administrativa.
