Breakfast selections.
Room had stale musty smell.
They didn't disclose the fact about the flooding on the 1st floor last month and the rooms smelled terrible, similar to a wet cat smell. I'm a disabled retired veteran and my wife is in need of a new hip. So after one night we returned to the property to find the parking lot being closed for asphalt re-sealed. Requiring us to park next door at another hotel that was 500 feet away with no crosswalk, in addition I couldn't see my vehicle leaving me concerned about it so we checked out that evening bringing our labor day weekend to a close early. I will never stay again with Holiday Inn express and suites.

No pancakes, no juices, sausages undercooked, grey color. Staff very poorly trained limited English.
My room was ready upon arrival and was clean and smelled fresh. The floors were recently cleaned the TV’s and clock worked great.

I have lost track of the many places we have spent one night in while midway between our starting point and destination.
Our criteria is that the place is reasonable, fairly close to whatever road we are on and has decent TripAdvisor reviews.
This pick turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
First impressions count. The lobby was bright, spacious and cheerful. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. She made us aware of the many nearby restaurant choices.
Our room was clean, quiet and comfy. The lighting was good in our room as well as the bathroom. Although we did not have a need for it, there was a chaise/sofa in our room which would have been nice for someone traveling with a child. There was also a small table at the end of the chaise. So many rooms we have stayed in only have a desk and one chair meaning that it is difficult for two people to spread out and eat together.
The breakfast was a cut above much of what we gave experienced on the road. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised . The staff is kind, the room and amenities are clean and organized, the breakfast buffet is delicious, free bottled water, easy parking, great gym, the list goes on. We will be looking for Holiday Inn Express everywhere we go from here on.
