When we checked in we were told that our booking had been moved to the 5 star hotel that adjoins the Continental. It was good and the same distance from the train station

This is a really unique and character-filled hotel. We loved the original elevator and historic fixtures, which gave the property so much charm. Guests can also use the facilities at the beautifully restored adjoining hotel, which was a great bonus.

The room was comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and a very comfortable bed, making for a great night’s sleep.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from Genoa’s Old Town, but as we were only staying one night to catch an early train, the location was ideal. It’s only a two-minute walk to the train station, which made our onward journey incredibly easy.

-Zentrum und zB Aquarium zu Fuss erreichbar
-Sehr freundliches Personal im Restaurant
-Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet
-Viele schöne und zT antike Details im Zimmer und im ganzen Hotel, zB antiker Lift

Cons:

-Gewisse Angestellte an der Rezeption waren nicht eben freundlich und/oder hilfsbereit, aber das waren zum Glück nur Einzelfälle
-Restaurant/Frühstücksbuffet:kaum gluten- und laktosefreie Alternativen

Disparità al check-in: a me è stata chiesta la carta di credito, mentre a un cliente subito dopo di me no.

Errore sulla tassa di soggiorno: al check-out mi hanno chiesto inizialmente 16€ invece degli 8€ corretti. Poco corretto.

Well located hotel that is clean, comfortable and good value.
Pros:

Convenient location near Piazza Principe train station for easy access to Cinque Terre. All staff helpful and friendly. Effective A/C for the European heatwave. Room cleaned, beds and towels changed everyday. Shower is super powerful. Love the old school light. Buffet breakfast was good and always accommodated our gluten free dietaries.

Cons:

Nothing at all.

Super frühstück , tolles Hotel, wir haben ein Upgrade ins Nachbars Hotel bekommen die zusammengehören. Netter Empfang und Parkservice. Lage war gut, man muss ca. 10-15 min laufen um ins Zentrum zu gelangen.
