Hotel Orto de' Medici

The hotel is structured smartly such that you face an inside garden, so light comes in and you dont hear the traffic from the room, at least the one i booked. Its about 10mins walk which is fine, i dont want to stay way to close in crowded attractions. The reception and dining staffs are all very helpful and kind, i think they hired the right people. High ceiling and interior is nice.

The hotel was close to where I needed to be.

Beautiful spacious hotel near San Marco and Academia with courtyard garden for afternoon drinks and lovely breakfast. Quiet yet near everything. Elegant interiors and wonderful staff who were super helpful with securing various “skip the line” tickets. Florence even outside peak season is insanely crowded and hectic and this hotel was a true oasis!

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was in a convenient location, very charming, clean & friendly staff. Our hotel room was wonderful with a balcony view. The breakfast selection was amazing and we looked forward to it each morning.

A perfect hotel. The staff was at the front desk at all times, and since this is a small hotel they knew us and met all of our needs. The locations is fantastic. Very close to all spots you wan to see, but also quiet. There are many restaurants right on our street. The tram is a block away- it goes to the airport directly for under 2 Euro. Breakfast includes cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice and tons of delicious choices. One day we had to leave early and the staff packed us up a little bag of goodies. Estelyn was the best at breakfast, and the bartender at the happy hour was wonderful too. There are gardens and outdoor spaces to relax . Our room was small, but we had an actual balcony to sit outside. I loved that the most. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well kept. I have NO complaints.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location, 15 minute walk to station.
Close to loads of restaurants, all sites easily walkable.
Did a pasta making class, loads to choose from and good fun!
Room had all we wanted, and as we booked direct all  mini bar was included. Had a couple of small issues, resolved by hotel quickly.
Breakfast was plentiful, helpful friendly staff.

Hotel check in was warm and welcoming. The spacious room was well appointed with beautiful amenities, comfortable bed, room darkening shades and a shower with excellent pressure! The breakfast had many items to choose from including fresh fruit, fresh pastries, juices, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and a variety of coffees to order. The hotel was clean and the staff were attentive. We requested a steamer for the clothes and it was quickly delivered. Location was conveniently located to points of interest and it was easy to walk and explore the city.

Das Hotel liegt nahe dem Stadtzentrum. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und waren stets sauber. Das Zimmer zum begrünten Innenhof war sehr leise. Die Bar im 1. OG hat leider nur von 17:30 - 20:30 geöffnet. Das liegt aber mehr daran, dass es im näheren Umkreis viele Möglichkeiten für einen Drink oder zum Essen gehen gibt.

What a surprise to walk in to a very large room for our three night stay. Spacious with lots of (out of the way) storage room for clothes and luggage. Large walk-in shower and plenty of outlets throughout the room.
The hotel breakfast is absolutely the BEST! Delicious with lots of variety. The staff is friendly and attentive. I really can’t say enough about how amazing this hotel is! Best of all, it’s in a perfect location to walk to most of the tourist attractions.

Wonderful building, layout, good rooms, the staff super friendly. From the reception team, the bag handlers, and the knowledgeable bar team that knew the history about michaelangelo working at a young age in the building, all very good. Location is great as outside the heavy touristy areas, so more relaxed but very easy walking distance. Also some good local restaurants nearby. Rooms are very comfortable too
