Exceptionally clean.

The poold were really nice and the staff was friendly. Our main concierge Romi was really friendly and communicated with us well and attentive. Royal Sands slso had pretty decent food options. Romi was such a great help and very good at her job.

The resort is conveniently located under 30 mins from the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean with great views. We had a two bedroom beachfront suite with full kitchen and two full bathrooms, so lots of space to allow for family time and alone time.
Food options were great, although offerings at La Veranda were not always consistent (some things were better than others), but because of the variety offered, it was not an issue.
The only thing I would be mindful of when booking is the distance of your room from the main lobby which overlooks the beautiful pool you see on the resort's main page. We were in building 5, the furthest away from the main lobby (we checked in at the Garden lobby), so we had to walk about 5-7 minutes to get to the main pool, the buffet, the convenience store etc. While it wasn't an issue for us because my kids are older, it might be a trek for a family with young kids.

We have been at the Sands for almost 25 years and multiple times a year. There are very few places better. Great place for families.

We loved the food, actually it was much better than the previous years. The best part of our vacation at the Sands is having a dinner and listening to the fantastic music of maestro Jeorge Duran. He makes our vacation.

This is a great place for a family holiday. The kids loved the pools and the beach. Restaurants, spa and rooms were all fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort! The property is beautiful, well-maintained, quiet, and exceptionally clean. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and attentive.

The shows were fantastic. Our room was spotless, and the ocean and bay views were absolutely stunning. We were especially impressed with the Kids Club. The staff and activities were amazing, and our children loved it so much that they wanted to go every day.

The only minor inconvenience during our stay was having to change rooms midway through the trip due to room allocation related to timeshare guests. Fortunately, we only had to move to the room next door, and the staff handled the entire move for us once our belongings were packed, making the process as easy as possible.

Overall, this was an excellent vacation, and we would happily return. We highly recommend this resort to families looking for a relaxing, clean, and enjoyable getaway!

The staff at the Royal Sands is always amazing, but we especially are grateful for two staff members who always go above and beyond. Rosa Hernandez at the front desk was so helpful in getting accessibility equipment for my elderly mother, and always provides clear answers to any questions we have. She goes out of her way to assist with any issue quickly. Jimmy the bellman in Phase 2 takes extra good care of our family, especially making sure my mom is always looked after and safe in the resort.

It was an overall just neutral experience from vibe to food. No music at all at the pool. Very little shallow areas for kids. Main pool depth was about 5ft. Service was ok. Food edible but blah. Just overall neutral. Most stuff had an up charge on menus.

Brenda te explica cada detalle a tu llegada del hotel y está pendiente de tu estancia para que no te falte nada. Si no reservaste aún excursiones que te atienda Jesús en la agencia de viajes. The facility is overall nice & staff incredibly hard working, but upselling and some of the processes were disappointing.

Gorgeous location and the friendliest staff. Beach was always clean and inviting and everyone I’d always smiling and making sure you are taken care of.

It is Basic Inclusive, premium alcohol not included as well as things like bottled water on the beach. The Facility itself is very nice and the staff are very friendly.
