Sofitel London St James

What a wonderful hotel! We had a fabulous time from start to finish, staying for a couple of nights in room 518 with my daughter & her best friend, over from Canada, to celebrate her birthday at the end of July.
Can happily commend every member of staff we were in contact with from the friendly but totally professional doormen on initial arrival (& during our stay), the fabulous Reception/concierge team & full team in the bar, with a special mention for the barman from Taormina in Sicily (whose name has escaped me) but who looked after us the most! Thank you. Also a special shout out to the “behind the scenes” staff in housekeeping, who did a fabulous job too.
We all felt special & totally looked after during our visit and will happily return. Thank you all. We created some lovely memories because of you all.

It was my second stay at Sofitel St James, and both visits were truly remarkable. I really appreciate the thoughtful gesture from Sandy in Guest Relations for our 5th wedding anniversary, it made our stay even more special.

We also had a wonderful experience at Bistrot, and I’d like to thank Vicky for the excellent service.

Lastly, St James Bar was outstanding. The entire team was welcoming, professional, and attentive. Mickey, Leonidas, and Mia were all fantastic and delivered genuine hospitality.

Breakfast was superb as well. A special thank you to Eliza and the entire breakfast team for their warm and friendly service.

Thank you all for making our stay so memorable. Sofitel St James is one of the best hotels to stay at in London, with a fantastic location, exceptional staff, and outstanding hospitality. I can’t wait to come back.

Exceptional. I’ve stayed at most of the top hotels in London and I will only stay at the Sofitel in the future.
The location is perfect but what is most exceptional are the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfection.
The rooms were meticulously clean and the beds and pillows so comfortable you didn’t want to get up!
Tea service, room service, and breakfast were amazing.
I can’t wait to go back on my next trip.

Such a beautiful hotel in amazing location. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Bar is gorgeous and love having a hot breakfast cooked fresh every morning. If I’m in London again I will most definitely revisit.

We stayed with my wife there in Huly. All team was superb especially Front office.
You can have buffet breakfast or alacarte.
We tried alacarte breakfast, service was very good, friendly and fast. Food was very tasty and portions are too big.
Location is the best you can go everwhere very easy.

While pricey as most luxury hotels are in London, everything about our stay was well worth it from accommodating our pre-stay requests, room condition, service from ALL the staff and dining options especially breakfast. It was particularly hot during our stay but climate control in our room was excellent. Amenities were well thought of including the shower facilities at the gym which proved very helpful when we had a long wait before we could enter our room. This is our second Sofitel stay and we will definitely stay at any other Accor property when we travel again.

Location and staff

By far and away our favourite hotel in Central London. Perfect location, amazing service and the most comfortable bed of any hotel chain. Special mention to Jeff the concierge for making us stay extra special. An amazing vibe around the whole hotel and so close to everything London has to offer. Couldn’t fault our stay. Make sure after a busy day you check out the bar downstairs… The non-alcoholic Collins mocktail is delicious.

On our departure date of 4 / 7 / 26, the Pride March was taking place with many roads in London closed, especially around St James. Both Jeff on Concierge and the lovely Brahim, the doorman, were exceptionally helpful to us , pushing our cases around the streets till we arrived at an area where a road was open and then arranging an Uber for us.
