Great collaboration from the Front Office team, reflecting excellent customer care and a strong customer experience.
Decorations A bit dull … dark brown.. but several areas looked a bit tired … nothing too bad but redec with more neutral Greys and cream just to those areas which need redec would make big difference
Really enjoyed our stay. The brasserie team were very attentive during our afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. We are vegan and the offering for all meals was excellent- plenty of choice and everything we had was delicious. Choice of drinks and cocktails were also lovely. Shout out to Rosie who made our stay very special with her attention to detail. Our room was also very comfortable and the bed was lovely. Grounds were well cared for with great outdoor options.
We have stayed here before and everything was great. How ever have just returned from a 2 night stay dinner bed and breakfast. They have an infestation of flies in the dining room. Flying on to your food and drinks they are everywhere. They were crawling all over the food at breakfast too. We did complain and were told they know about this but can’t get management to do anything about it. Receptionist told us this is because the hotel is in the country!
Rural picturesque location, clean and well maintained.
Dated room, air conditioning in room was very poor, needed hanging space for longer dresses.
Breakfast was good and staff very friendly
We booked this hotel specifically for the fact they had air con. It was not working throughout the whole hotel. The room we were in showed 27° all the time we were there and it was on the first floor. Outside temperature in car park was 36°. We ate our evening meal in sweltering surroundings in the bar area and no air con there either. Staff were great not much they could do although they gave us a fan. Managers should get it sorted very quickly or this hotel is to be avoided in hot weather.
Loved our stay the room, location, hotel and facilities all excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The evening meal service was a little slow but this was easily forgiven as the food was top quality. Highly recommended!
Nothing
Over sold
Have to pay for the pool which was not told beforehand
Terrible rooms no air condition
Sold as double room was 2 single beds together Which did not match making a uncomfortable night sleep
Dirty courtyard invested with ants and bugs
Warm larger from the bar
Rude reception staff
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stunning surroundings. Clean, cool, very comfy.

Had an amazing stay - rooms very comfortable and A/C was welcome on the hot night we were there. Slept very well! plenty of choice on the menu and everything we chose was cooked very well and presented beautifully. Restaurant team and reception friendly helpful and attentive. we will Definitely be back
Our main reason for visiting was so I could do my rehabilitation exercises in water following knee replacement surgery. As I am still using crutches and need to build up strength and flexibility in my new joint, access to the pool was about as difficult as it was possible to be. More than 10 steps up to the front entrance to the building (no ramp or lift), then more than 10 steps down to the changing area, and then another 8 or 10 steps up to pool floor level. Finally, as another reviewer has noted, entry to the pool is via a vertical ladder when steps would have been more welcoming. Considering this is quite a modern building, the lack of disability friendly access is surprising. Staff were not particularly interested in being helpful either.
I had a facial and full body massage with Eva over two days, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Eva was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout both treatments.
Her knowledge of the products was impressive, and she took the time to recommend products that would suit my needs. After noticing I had a slight sunburn, Eva thoughtfully adapted my treatment and, for my second appointment, had already selected sensitive and hydrating products specifically for my skin. This level of care and attention to detail was greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Eva, for providing such a personalised and relaxing experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional and attentive treatments and ask for her at my next Barnham Broom spa day!
On the whole a lovely hotel and the food was faultless . Room spacious and comfortable with bottled water , tea, coffee etc ( we had a basic room ) . Was noisey til gone midnight outside our room but appreciate that there was a wedding reception. Had a couple of treatments at the Spa , collagen facial amazing , reflexology not so much . My husband enjoyed the golf. Only disappointment was that my friend and I paid for the Spa facility ( only £7.50 each for the duration of our stay ) only to find we could not use the pool & jacuzzi as it was the vertical step type access . I have just had a shoulder replacement so wanted to go in to excerise but could not use these type of steps , walk in ones would have been nice and not so limiting for people with bad joints . The staff on the Gym desk entrance were not polite and ignored me for a while whilst chatting . Apart from this side of things I would return without question as its a clean well maintained hotel with hard working, polite waiting staff.
An amazing stay as usual! I would not stay anywhere else in the area. I commute to Norfolk regularly for work and stay at BB every time and the welcome, service and hospitality is always first class. Sharon is absolutely superb and always goes over and above with everything she does! :-)
