Compassion and Efficiency When Needed the Most
Pros:

I had major surgery scheduled at MGB July 29th and stayed at The Inn at Longwood. At the 11th hour my surgery was postponed and my caregiver and I left Boston and the Inn sooner than expected. Everyone at this facility was cordial, professional, and very helpful, including our waiter at their restaurant.
Of particular note was Sara at reception. My friend and I were a bit rattled with the sudden OR cancellation and checked out of the Inn early. Sara was calm, compassionate, and very efficient. She was empathetic to the disturbance caused by this sudden cancellation and navigated reservations to ensure we would have the appropriate room when my surgery was rescheduled. Thank you, Sara, for being so kind and understanding.
We will return when my surgery is rescheduled.

Recommended! Nice place, great value!
Pros:

My wife and I have had two excellent stays at the Inn at Longwood. The rooms have been exceptionally clean, the location is very convenient for our visits to Brigham's & Women's, and the staff has been especially courteous and helpful. A shout-out to Sean, who has been a great help both times we've stayed!

Ideal location
Pros:

The Inn at Longwood is so convenient when you have a loved one receiving care at one of the neighboring hospitals. We were able to park our car and leave it there for the entire week, which meant we didn’t have to deal with traffic going back and forth to the hospital every day. It was just a short walk to the Klarman Building.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would especially like to give a shout-out to Ella for helping us extend our stay. I would also like to thank Tony, the housekeeping manager, for the thoughtful gift bag. Their kindness made a difficult time a little easier.

I highly recommend The Inn at Longwood to anyone needing a convenient, comfortable place to stay while supporting a loved one at one of the nearby hospitals.

Good stay at the inn, surgery at mass general Brigham
Pros:

Great job by Noah helping us reschedule our stay for surgery at mass general Brigham after the nurses’ strike and lockout, plus the staff found and kept an item I forgot. Noah made the call for me and found it in the house keeping office where I was able to pick it up.
Easy parking next to the inn and easy walk to the hospital.

Close to hospitals but unfriendly hotel
Pros:

It is close to Dana Farber Cancer Center, but it feels like two miles when you are pushing a cancer patient in a wheelchair. The front desk manager was rude and had a bad attitude all through both our stays. I'd like to give it one star, but the hotel has made efforts to clean the place and our room was clean both times. The carpet was dirty, and we could see the dust fall from the drapes when we opened them.

Unbeatable location, comfortable and spacious rooms
Pros:

While I was only there for a short time, I really enjoyed my stay at the Inn. It's clean and comfortable with very spacious rooms and nice amenities. It's hard to beat the location of The Inn at Longwood Medical - it's within walking distance to so much that's central in Boston. Highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable and ideally located.
Pros:

Stayed here for 5 nights to be close to BIHMC for spouse’s surgery. We were in the largest studio room with 2 queen beds. Room was fairly basic, but comfortable, clean, large and quiet. It looked like it had recently been refurbished, which was nice. If you need to be close to one of the Beth Israel Centers, this is perfect. It’s also only a 20 minute walk to the Fenway area with lots of dining options.
I would stay there again.

The Inn at Longwood
Pros:

My daughter had surgery at Brigham & Women's and the hotel was a short two blocks away. Sara at the front desk was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay. Had a great chat with the morning clerk Sean about Ireland. If I ever go back to Ireland, I'll make sure to visit Sligo and Galway.

Excellent
Pros:

Our stay at the Inn at Longwood ended up being much longer than we had originally planned due to an unexpected medical situation when my husband was admitted to the hospital. During what was a very stressful and uncertain time, Noah at the front desk went above and beyond to help us.

He was incredibly kind, compassionate, and accommodating as he helped us extend our stay several times while we waited to learn what each new day would bring. His patience, professionalism, and genuine concern made a difficult situation so much easier to navigate.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, but it was Noah’s exceptional customer service that truly made our experience memorable. He treated us with such care and kindness, and we are sincerely grateful for everything he did for us.

Thank you, Noah, for making us feel supported during such a challenging time. You are a wonderful example of outstanding customer service, and we will always remember your kindness.

Sean front desk clerk should be acknowledged for excellent level of service
Pros:

We had a medical emergency and needed a place to stay close to Brigham Mass General Hospital. The hotel was expensive but clean and comfortable. Sean, the front desk clerk, was the most amazing person we met while there. He was very helpful, compassionate, and went above and beyond to help us meet our needs. Many people stay there and it can be difficult to get the room you want at the time you need it for. Sean met everyone of our needs and we wanted to make sure he was acknowledged for helping a family in crisis. I would definitely stay there again.

great stay
Pros:

we were very pleased with the area that the hotel was in! close and walkable to many places and things that we were in Boston to do. uber is very easy to catch there as well to go across town to other landmarks and places! the hotel wasn’t anything crazy, but had an inviting atmosphere. the room was clean and ready for us to stay the night. the walls are a little thin so you can hear the noise coming from rooms nextdoor or the hall. the restaurant was closed while we were there for lunch and dinner which was a bit disappointing (they’re closed saturday and sundays) but they did have breakfast open until 11. the breakfast wasn’t anything crazy or anything to rave about, i would probably go find a local diner or even the mcdonald’s around the corner instead. when we checked out, Sean at the front desk was very friendly and kind! overall great stay for the night!

The eye of the storm
Pros:

The room was small, but very clean. Front desk staff were excellent. Highlight of our stay was the attached restaurant; the wait staff were absolutely lovely. Food itself was nothing great, but it was hot and brought to us with such kindness that it became exceptional.

Sometimes you receive in return the attitude in which you present, and I always try to be kind, unless met with a bad attitude, and then I respond the same. Everyone at Longwood was professional and gracious to us while our family member was treated at Brigham.

This was during the ear-splitting cacophony of the nurses’ strike and I felt terrible leaving my elderly family member at the hospital, having to listen to that 24 hours a day while we retreated to relative peace of our hotel. On a sidenote… The bedside compassion that we have seen and praised in our previous visits to Brigham, from the nursing staff, flew right out the window when they kept our elderly relative (and many other patients, including newborns, cancer patients, and people in the ICU) up all night pounding buckets, blaring horns, screaming, and whooping sirens. While I absolutely support nurses, and I know that they’re the backbone of healthcare, and I absolutely understand their anger at the current situation at Brigham, the constant parade of noise had us questioning that compassion that we have witnessed so many times previously. Walking up the street from the hotel to the hospital actually felt scary, as there was a bursting level of hostility that was neither welcomed nor necessary. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Four stars for a very good hotel stay however. Highest marks for cleanliness. And they give you a free teddy bear if you ask nicely.
