Location
Can’t think of anything
4Plus is my rating
Wonderful staff especially Sara
Simple but clean and comfortable
The location was perfect for us. It was close to the school. However, because it was across from the Beth Israel hospital, we could hear when EMS arrived. Walking is very convenient. Fenway is about a 10-15-minute walk. There is a public food court almost attached to the hotel.
When we arrived, the two receptionists were very helpful. I had an Amazon delivery that was sent to the wrong address. I showed them the picture, and they looked for it for me. That was going above and beyond. I am very mad that I forgot both of their names.
My history with the phenomenal Inn at Longwood spans 36 years! First stayed in 1990 when my child was having surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Back in 2017 and again this month for ongoing medical care. The location cannot be beat for walking to Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham Women’s Hospital.
The staff is so incredibly caring and understanding. Beds are very comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave in room which is so helpful for keeping and re-heating leftovers from the hotel’s restaurant if getting back late from the hospital. When one is going through the difficulties of last minute scheduling/canceling/re-scheduling medical procedures, the staff’s flexibility and helpfulness is fantastic! I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
The hotel stay was unpleasant due to the location of the rooms, which were situated next to huge ventilation fans or similar equipment on a low rooftop very close to the windows. These operated continuously throughout the day and night and created constant noise, making it difficult to enjoy our time in the room.
In addition, we vacated both rooms on time. However, since the checkout process itself only takes a few minutes, although we arrived at the reception before the 10:00 a.m. checkout deadline, we ended up completing the checkout of the second room just slightly after 10:00. The hotel charged us an additional fee solely for this, which they called a “late check-out fee.”
It is a shame that this detracted from what was otherwise a beautiful and enjoyable vacation
I rarely write reviews, but I have to give a shout-out and a huge thank-you to the staff at Longwood, especially Sara and her coworker (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name!). During an unexpected, stressful, and complicated family medical situation as smooth as possible and provided a safe haven as I spent the week between the hotel and Brigham and Women's. Kudos to the entire crew.
Nice
Parking was insufficient
My wife and I stayed at the Inn At Longwood Medical for a week recently while our adult daughter had surgery and recovered at Brigham and Women's Hospital. We parked the car in their parking garage on arrival and only moved it a few times when we wanted to drive somewhere to eat dinner. Otherwise we walked back and forth to the hospital a few times a day. When we ate in the dining room at the hotel it was convenient and relaxing with good food. Our room was large enough to make us feel comfortable there for the week. The staff were very helpful when needed. During a very stressful time for us the Hotel provided a calm and restful home .
We were looking for a place that was centrally located and walking distance from Fenway. The Inn at Longwood for the bill. We were greeted by Sean, who is friendly & professional. Loved the access to the mall area for coffee and light bites. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We highly recommend.
Basically an expensive low end hotel. Location convenient for medical stuff I guess but it leaves a lot to be desired. Rented the "suite" which is basically a room with two queens that face each other, a small kitchenette and smallest bathroom imaginable. Amenities were a couple bars of soap in plastic and plastic cups--very motel atmosphere. All for $450 a night.
Doris at the service/ check in desk was so kind and helpful . This young man is a gem !
Wonderfully accommodating and kind. Especially Dirie at the front desk
Location and comfort
Minimal amenities
No water in the room (other than tap)
We were surprised by the $75 fee added on at check in. We had booked through an app which showed the full price including a hotel fee already
Ac unit to close to the bed. How's on the person sleeping on that side. I froze all night.
I had an outstanding experience at Longwood Medical Inn, and it was all thanks to Noah at the front desk.
SHOUTOUT YURI!!!!!
From the moment I arrived, Noah went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He was genuinely friendly, professional, patient, and incredibly accommodating. No matter what I needed, he handled everything with a positive attitude and a level of customer service that is becoming increasingly rare. He made what could have been a stressful stay feel easy and enjoyable.
It’s clear that Noah takes pride in his work and truly cares about the guests. Employees like him make a lasting impression and are a huge asset to the hotel. In fact, I hope management recognizes the value he brings to the team. Noah has certainly earned consideration for a promotion or a well-deserved raise based on the exceptional service he provides.
Thank you, Noah, for setting such a high standard for hospitality. I’ll definitely remember your kindness, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I’d happily stay at Longwood Medical Inn again.
