Møtte opp , men rommet var canceled pga water leaking
Location is perfect for exploring city with public transport. Staf is very nice, specially Marek who made our late dinner, on arrival day, possible. Nice continental breakfast.
The only not good thing was, that our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator stopped working the day after our arrival and did not work until the end of our vacation.
Very good selection, could have been slightly better - add black pudding or haggis to the items.
The bath - I used the shower, getting over the edge of the bath was a little difficult due to the height of the bath. Also, I felt the bath slippy, so you should add a non-slip mat for safety reasons, that would be good.
Die Lage. Praktisch alles zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Frühstück sehr gut.
Das Zimmer im Untergeschoss entspricht nicht 4 Sterne und einen Preis von knapp 300 sfr……
Breakfast was ok
Paint was peeling off the wall. Paid for a window and it looked right into a back alley where staff smoked and rat traps. Dust around the room was terrible. And the knobs on the walls used as coat hangers were all hanging off. Hairs all in the bed and in the bathroom.
Very nice room. Big bed. Large TV (if you're looking for HDMI, go to channels and then previous channels to get to the back). Restaurant was great and breakfast was also nice.
Bath slowly drained and was quite small. Toilet was low and also quite small.
Staff was v friendly and welcoming
Rooms need renovation. There is v limited light in the rooms.
freundliches Personal, alles war hervorragend
Jodi at the restaurant was incredible. She was very welcoming and helpful.
Where to start. So on arrival at hotel (1715) we were informed that we won't be able to order food until 1930 due to a party of 30, this was later changed to 2000. After a discussion with the restaurant manager Marek regarding the frustration of having to wait, I was completely shut down and told 2 people were not a priority.
I feel he could have handled this differently and been more effective, hopefully if he goes on a basic guest hospitality course he will improve.
Its important to state before continuing that the hotel itself is stunning and the food delicious
When my partner arrived at the hotel, she was asked to present a credit or debit card to hold a £10 deposit for the room, very strange procedure as she was a non paying guest, I had booked and paid for the room previously, so no further card was required.
The following morning we were shocked to see that her card and been charged for a bill that I had signed for (£144)
I raised this with reception who struggled to understand what had gone wrong. They had charged the wrong person for a bill they hadn't signed for, they said they would release the funds to her card immediately, this however, even 24 hours later hasn't happened, after contacting the hotel they apologised for an error in communication and stated it would be refunded in 5 to 7 days.
If you can stay at this hotel and only deal with Jodi, then you will have a wonderful stay.
Location was ok and the room was comfortable, bed and pillows excellent but this is what you would expect from a large hotel group. Staff were welcoming.
When we arrived the lift was broken, we were on the second floor. Were told it would be fixed by the morning and it was broken for the entire time of our stay. We went to the restaurant attached to the hotel on the first night after a big day of travel and they had a birthday party, only approx half of the tables were taken but they advised couldn't accommodate as the kitchen was "stressed" with the large booking. To top it off one morning there was absolutely no hot water, in a fairly cold Scotland that was the breaking point. We did not expect bells and whistles from a mid tier chain but things to work would have been nice.
Location great staff friendly it was quiet
Lift wasn’t working but we survived staff went out of there way to find us a room without too many flights
