If you want quintessential Edinburgh it’s a great location, with good food/amenities.
Pros:

Location was amazing. Great amenities. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

Still a tight fit for a family of 4 (2 teens) in a double room. A bigger fan on a warmer than normal day would be nice as well.

Lovely relaxing stay, reception staff were so helpful.
Pros:

Restaurant was closed on two evenings of our stay due to staff shortages. We were lucky as there are lots of lovely restaurants in that area.

Historyczny Edynburg i najlepszy Apex Grassmarket Hotel
Pros:

Hotel warty polecenia. Personel przyjemny. Lokalizacja idealna, wszędzie blisko na pieszo. Pokoje przestronne i bardzo wygodne duże lóżko. Na każdego czeka miła niespodzianka od właściciela i małe przekąski. Wszędzie czysto. Śniadanie dobre i smaczne. Kosmetyki z najlepszej półki.

Cons:

Wanna w łazience wysoka i wąska, strasznie nie wygodna. Lepiej był by prysznic.

To pay 1200 for a 2 night stay and had no room for anything was ridiculous

Der 2. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und entsprach voll und ganz meinen Erwartungen :-)
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Grassmarket Square mit Blick auf Edinburgh Castle. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, komfortabel und elegant. Die Pflegeprodukte sind hervorragend. 18 £ pro Tag für den sicheren Parkplatz direkt hinter dem Hotel ist auch in Ordnung. Es gibt auf jeder Ebene Wasserspender mit gefilterte Wasser.

Location, location, location. Otherwise overpriced.
Pros:

Location was great. Good water pressure.

Cons:

Had to drag luggage up stairs (there was no way to access checkin without doing so). Rooms & common areas were much too hot. No AC and limited window opening and airflow in the rooms. Common areas seemed run-down / awkward. Shower was hard to get in and out of.

Scotland Visit
Pros:

Rooms were very warm without air conditioning. Difficult to locate fan near window to draw in cooler air ( lack of nearby electrical outlets). Bath tub way too high and difficult to enter and exit.

Great hotel
Pros:

Had a wonderful stay here. Room, dining and the hotel itself was beautifully presented. Stayed for a birthday and the birthday package was amazing. Room service was brilliant. All staff were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious. Would 100% stay here again next time I visit Edinburgh
