Location and parking
Tired
Great hotel with view to Edinburgh Castle in the heart of the old town. Had an amazing stay. Would love to return.
Location
Not enough storage room
Needed a chest of drawers rather than 3 chairs. Wardrobe hanger needed to be left to right instead of having to move all your clothes to get to the ones at the back
Location is the best
Mould in the bathrooms, dirty carpet and not having my room cleaned and towels when requested
Location
It needs refreshing rooms, paintwork
We spent four nights at this hotel in Edinburgh’s Old Town, with a spectacular view of the castle from our room. Despite a lively nightlife on Grassmarket it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The room was clean and spacious and the staff accommodating. Can definitely recommend!
We had a castle view room which was lovely .It was a bit noisy at weekend but we really didn't mind .All staff we encountered were very friendly .Hotel is in a lovely area right in the middle of the old town .Room was very clean and comfortable . Only little criticism, we left our room before ten and when we returned after 230 our room had not been serviced.I would have expected it to be ready as over £300 per night is quite expensive .
This is an excellent hotel. Overall, we were quite satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. Two concerns, room was very warm and there was no AC, we opened our door to the balcony every day to cool the room, noise from the construction of spectator viewing stands at the castle could be a problem for some. in our opinion you could not ask for a better location. Buffet breakfast was excellent. In room dining, along with the quality of the food was excellent. We used a taxi from the airport 45 pounds, for a 30 minute ride, we found this to be the easiest option, and I believe that is a fair cost for the service. Taxi was extremely easy to get at the Airport Taxi stand.
My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Scotland. The Apex was wonderful and centrally located in Edinburgh. It was within walking distance to a large number of Pubs, stores, and scenic views. It was close to the Royal Mile and we took the tour of the Castle as well
