Cons:

The roadwork around, the river is not beautiful and wondered if staying more central would have been better.
The guests reserved sunbeds with towels early in the morning to then not show until after noon. You wonder why and how this is allowed in a five star hotel as was it a turist package tour

We stayed at this hotel for the final three days of our honeymoon, and unfortunately it fell well below the standard we expected from a five-star property.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. There was an event taking place, and it felt as though the reception staff were far more focused on that than on welcoming arriving guests. Check-in was rushed and impersonal, with none of the warm hospitality or attention to detail you would normally expect from a luxury hotel.
Our room was much smaller than anticipated and barely accommodated two suitcases. The air conditioning struggled throughout our stay, leaving the room uncomfortably warm during the heat wave and resulting in several sleepless nights.
Overall, the hotel felt dated. The décor appeared tired, and the general standard did not reflect the premium price being charged. The pool area was particularly disappointing. The pool looked unclean, with visible slime on the steps and adjoining wall. I actually slipped while getting out of the pool because of this. There were also missing tiles in the seating area within the pool, which suggested a lack of maintenance. The area was consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to relax.
We had also expected a peaceful and relaxing setting, but this was not the case due to the extensive road works taking place around the hotel. The constant construction noise significantly detracted from the atmosphere and made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a tranquil end to our honeymoon.
Another frustration was that guests had to pay for cold drinking water during an extreme heat wave. At a hotel claiming to offer a five-star experience, complimentary drinking water should be readily available. The shuttle service was also inadequate, especially in such high temperatures, leaving us to spend an additional €20 on taxis to and from Florence city centre because walking simply wasn't practical.

Excellent ambience, amenities, service, and location.
Pros:

Exceptional service, amenities and location - close enough to get to Central Florence within a 25 min walk, or you can take the shuttle or use the hotel’s bikes. We loved the pool and the quiet neighbourhood as central Florence in peak summer is way too crowded for my liking.

The spa and hydrothermal pool / sauna / cold room are another lovely bonus for those who want to relax.

Pros:

The location outside the tourist hub. Loved the access to spa facilities. Restaurant food available all day. Staff were generally helpful.

Cons:

Being told I needed a reservation then immediately sent to an available table and there were several tables. Adrian was a too literal in his interpretation of the rules.

Die laute Musik von der Beachbar gegenüber, die helle Zwangsbeleuchtung am Balkon, die es unmöglich macht, sich abends rauszusetzen und die Tatsache, dass, ohne darauf aufmerksam zu machen, bei der Endrechnung 15% Trinkgeld auf den Gesamtaufenthalt (auch Nächtigung, etc.) berechnet wird.

Hotel is good, staff require a bit of training.
Pros:

Good location as outside the main city but easy enough to commute in. The shuttle is a good touch. Breakfast spread was limited but good and clientele also good.

Cons:

There was one occasion where we were stuck about 30 minutes away at a hospital unable to get an uber or local taxi with phones on minimal charge. One of our party was actually hit by a car and rushed to hospital - I contacted the hotel asking if they could please call for a vehicle or send one out but they simply replied that they couldn’t and that we had to source our own. At the very minimum I would have expected it to send a shuttle especially considering we had 2 suites and they knew about the incident. Pool staff incredibly slow and not up to 5* standard.
