Our shower didn't work. It only put out water that was so hot it actually burned my arm turning it on. We contacted the office and they said maintenance would fix it. Next day it was still too hot to use. We contacted the office again. When we came back in the evening it was still too hot to use. Our entire stay we were unable to shower. The morning we left we spoke with the front desk and they apologized and said they would contact management about a partial credit. After weeks we still haven't heard back. I would avoid this property.

Pros:

I stayed at The Outpost for one night towards the end of my visit to Estes Park, having travelled over from the United Kingdom to explore Colorado.

Estes Park had already given me some incredible memories, and it was lovely to spend one more night in this beautiful part of the world before heading back towards Denver.

The accommodation provided a convenient base for my final evening in the area, and I was pleased to have found somewhere to extend my stay.

The property looks a lot better online than it does in person.

Cons:

There are several things that I did not like about the property, but the main two distressing items were being given and unclean room and no one at the desk after 8 PM. There was no information given to me when I checked in, and there was no information in the room about who to contact in case it was a problem.

For one night and the quality of the place, I will not return.
Pros:

I had to wait for the room to be cleaned prior to checking in. I asked if I could change room and was told no, they had multiple personnel call off that day. but they would make an effort to get the room ready quickly.
The breakfast left much to be desired. The coffee was nasty testing. Nothing was hot. No yogurts. No juice.
The door had a major draft from outside. Light could be seen down the door and across the floor.

Cons:

Quick access from the main road in Estes Park.

Cons:

Nothing it was great - maybe some new pillows lol they are really extremely uncomfortable made my own out of the comforter your neck and head are about 5 ft off the bed but really that’s such a small thing just Angie they could get some new ones spoke to the GM there about it laughingly

The pool was nice. The room was very big.

Cons:

Check in was at 4pm and our rooms were over an hour late getting cleaned. This force us to have to chance our plans for the evening.
There was a loud noise that went on all night. It seemed like it was below us, you could hear it throughout our whole room and our family members in other rooms also heard it. For over $300 a night it seemed a expensive for having these issues.

This is a nice boutique hotel that still needs to make some improvements. And get that pool in order so people can enjoy

Rooms were nicely decorated and clean and comfortable.

Cons:

This is an old building and not insulated well. You could hear everything from other guests and rooms, from the a/c units to people talking and moving around to the outside and parking lot noise. This was the loudest place I’ve ever tried to sleep. Also the pool was closed and that was disappointing. My family was really looking forward to some time in the pool to relax in the evening.
