Slecht
Cons:

Slecht onderhouden, er dreef een drol in de toilet en die spoelde ook niet weg. Op de 2e kamer verstopte wasbak en kapot douch gordijn

Stay away
Pros:

Pool was nice

Cons:

Young staff that were just chatting to each other and regulars very loudly, sexual innuendos, swearing.
One customer came to a member of staff, clearly distressed, asking for them to call an ambulance. The member told them to ring 999 and continued to change the channel on the TV.
Noone seemed to be in charge.
So very unprofessional.
WiFi in the back part of the hotel where my room was, nonexistent.

Wouldn't Recommend
Pros:

The bar staff were very friendly and always helpful and the pool was simple and basic.

Cons:

The reception staff was overworked and getting frustrated with customers. Check in wasn't ready for 3pm and no rooms had air conditioning as shown on their website. The rooms were hot and were extremely uncomfortable to sleep in.

Appollo hotel Basingstoke
Pros:

Not a lot.

Cons:

Check in time from 3pm on arrival we were told our room was not ready 2 hours later our room was finally ready. No one told us why the room wasn't ready we just had to sit in bar or reception area and wait. It was a hot muggy day, bar was closed and weren't even offered a drink of water. Got the impression that staff couldn't care less, it was just another day.

Cons:

It was all terrible but the breakfast was absolutely awful. Tables not cleaned with plates everywhere we had to clean it ourselves, food awful we went away hungry. Staff mostly all non English speaking. And to top it off my child’s iPad was stolen as it was left in the room but after weeks of calling still no iPad.

Absolutely disgusting and I am taking matters further
Pros:

nothing

Cons:

Wrong room and wouldn't change it. Not enough beds in the room and the camp bed was broken daughter had to sleep on the floor. A picture fell off the wall and nearly hit my son on the head with glass. It could have severally cut him or even killed him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrendous and a total nightmare
Pros:

Absolutely NOTHING.

Cons:

The whole hotel needs a total refurbishment. It is seriously outdated, poor facilities, absolutely no standards.
Dusty rooms and I developed an allergy all through the night.
No air conditioning, poor hygiene. A limp fan was supplied.
Missing kettle..It was a nightmare.
My cousin was bitten by something in the bed which resulted in swelling.
Ran out of hot water for tea at breakfast, limited choices of food and fruits.
I could go on and on but this is the worst hotel I have stayed in despite paying a high price.
It belongs to the stone ages and definitely not 2026! It felt like being stuck in the past.
Seriously wouldn’t recommend.

Bad Experience
Pros:

Nothing other than it was close to my cousins house.

Cons:

I was genuinely looking forward to this stay — a much‑needed break for me, my partner, and our two children. Unfortunately, what we experienced at Apollo Basingstoke was the complete opposite of what we hoped for.

Check‑in took over 30 minutes, even though there were no queues. After finally getting to our room, the heat was unbearable. I asked for a fan, only to be told none were available. Much later, a staff member brought a tiny fan that barely made a difference for four people trying to sleep in a warm room.

The night itself was awful. I was bitten by bugs, leaving me uncomfortable and unable to sleep. It’s unacceptable for any hotel to have this issue, let alone one marketed as a relaxing getaway.

Breakfast the next morning was just as disappointing. The quality and taste were extremely poor — to the point where none of us could eat anything. For a family hoping to start the day well, it was a real let‑down.

Overall, our stay was unpleasant from start to finish. We arrived excited for a break, but left tired, uncomfortable, and disappointed. Apollo Basingstoke did not deliver the experience we paid for or expected.

Sad and bad
Pros:

My overall experience was poor but I did like the bed and the steam room and sauna room. I used to come to the hotel before covid happed with my best friend and remember how good it was the service was top Notch back then it's a shame that it's gone down.

Cons:

Did not like eating at the bar slow service food was not what I thought it would be like breakfast was hard as we had to clean our own tables as I witness others having to do the same. We had to ask several times for more food to be brought out we ended up paying for dinner to be ordered to the hotel. Was told money would be given back into are account and a call would be given to comfrom this but no call back was done.

Lovely hotel but not always the cleanest of rooms
Pros:

The reception staff are always fantastic and main foyer is impressive upon entering the hotel.

Cons:

Every time I stay here, the cleanliness of the rooms always let's the place down. I'm in no way of a snob or clean freak and I understand that the cleaners must be under a great deal of pressure to get done before the next guests arrive but on my last stay there was a used tissue next to the bed ( we all know why that was there ) toe nails under the desk hidden by the chair and a half drunk bottle of water left next to the sink and it always leaves me wondering if the bedding actually gets changed or just remade half the time.
