I liked the two bedrooms, the location the breakfast and the pool.
Not having enough seats in the family room. We only had one chair with three people in a room, and no table.
It waa good with many choices …. No complaints!
Maybe a bar
They were remodeling which wasn't told to us! Elevators half the time didn't work! They change the locks on our doors without our knowledge! The turned the water off during the day for hours! The one desk lady was rude no communication all in all was not worth the money we had to pay for with all that going on!
90 percent of our stay was awful
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was just 3 miles down the road from Hersheypark.
Where to start....this property is under renovations, which WAS disclosed on the Booking.com listing, so I expected some amenities would be unavailable or there might be noise during the day. I DID NOT expect what we experienced. On 2 of the 3 days we were there, the water was shut off in the afternoon while work was being done. When it came back on, it was cold water only and we were told it would take a few hours for the hot water to come back as the tank had to fill again. We spent 6 hours in Hersheypark on a 96 degree day and couldn't shower before going back out for the evening. New landscaping was being installed at the entrance each afternoon; during which time all of the sidewalks from 3 directions at the main entrance were blocked by plants, tools and other work gear. You had to step through the work area to get into the main entrance. There were continuous issues with the elevators not working properly. A few times we had to take the stairs 7 flights up or down. It seemed that there were 3 of the 7 floors being renovated at the same time. On those floors, there were tools and construction materials in the stairwells (which were a serious safety hazard as these were the emergency exits, and the tools were plugged in and unattended-see photos). When I went to the front desk to tell them the elevators weren't working and the stairs were very unsafe, she said "We're renovating, so yeah" and did not seem to care at all. Additionally, we were assigned a newly renovated room- it WAS clean, and it WAS new, but one of the showerheads was broken, the shower floor leaked at one of the caulked seams, the room had not yet had the microwave installed (it WAS listed on the site as included in the room- we asked at the front desk and they said they could not bring us one) and the hallway of our floor still had wiring hanging uncovered from the ceiling.
W nd night had a water incursion. Changing rooms at 2130 when I had t I be at work at 2200. 4th night no power.
Stayed in room 501 somewhat newly renovated but the shower control was giving either hot or cold nothing in between . My 12 year old felt like she burned herself and had to use a friends shower in the same complex.I just took a cold shower not ideal.
The beds n room was great. The original room I booked was unavailable and they provided us with a conjoining room for no extra charge. Staff was extremely friendly
Fire alarm went off at 8 am. There was construction at the site n parking was a little rough
We check in with workers unloading mulitpul pallets of furniture which was stored in the small restaurant area. Hotel was under construction. Upon getting off on the third floor we were greeted with wires and fire detectors hanging from the ceiling, a partially sheetrocked ceiling and dirty carpets. Our room was a safr haven from the mess but not from the noise. None of this work was disclosed on your site or when we booked the room the day before. While we were 2 adults traveling together, we felt sorry for all the families who book their rooms for the weekend for a lacrosse tournament, having to live in these conditions. We will never stay at a Best Weastern again.
Close to amenities, newly renovated on the 5th floor
The pool was slightly slimy and green at certain areas. There was a musty smell in the lobby.
Proximity to Hershey stadium
Was unaware of the construction, wires were exposed our room door had to be reset, room was dirty (construction wise) and alarm was triggered at 830am when workers began. We were not notified and paid full price (399) for a work zone.
That it was close to Hershey park
That there were bugs crawling on the walls the sprinklers still had locks on them like they hadn’t finished installing them. The hall way had holes in the ceiling. The staff was rude to most patrons.
Cleanliness and comfort
Smoke smell
The staff was amazing. I felt horrible for them they are incredibly understaffed and in the middle of a renovation. But they were so sweet and helpful, patient and kind! I really appreciated them.
It was very messy. My shower wasn’t very clean. Our keys didn’t work a couple of times and we didn’t have a tv. They should close and finish their renovations and hire some more staff to help those poor people out.
The breakfast was excellent, and the person who worked on it was very friendly
Overall cleanliness and the staff
An awful lot of property upgrades occurring that cost appearance at present
Location was good for event we were attending. Staff was courteous and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable even though in old section.
Place was under renovation and in disarray. Looks as though BW recently purchased this property from another owner. Breakfast was lackluster even for a hotel. Rate charged by Booking.com was significantly more than Best Western was offing the week leading up to my stay.
