What a delight! I had very few expectations - this was just a hotel close to the station - but wow I hit the jackpot.
It is a wonderfully eccentric hotel based around space themes. There's the giant Star Wars Death Star planning table in the lobby, space suits, colorful scenes from 2001. Nicely done and tasteful. Even if you're not a space fan you'll still love it.
The hotel itself is well appointed and sensible. Not too expensive and comfortable. All the things one wants from a hotel. OK the bar is perhaps a bit limited in terms of beers but that's not entirely untypical of Barcelona.
The area is great. In so much of Barcelona the linga franca is English. This is very much a Barrio in which you're going to be speaking Spanish (or perhaps Catalan if you can). Makes a refreshing change.

Perfect location on the night before (or after) your flight, super-highly maintained, very clean, rich breakfast, dental kit and more, and bonus: got an upgrade to some VIP suite.

To mój kolejny już pobyt w tym hotelu, więc mam szersze i bardziej porównawcze spojrzenie. W dalszym ciągu lokalizacja jest fantastyczna – nad dworcem kolejowym (obecnie w przebudowie) i stacją metra, z łatwym i szybkim dojściem/dojazdem do ciekawszych punktów miasta. Recepcja bardzo miła i kompetentna, sprawna, z dużym uśmiechem. Pokój zapewnia wystarczającą przestrzeń, z ogromnym oknem na całą ścianę, które jednak w ogóle się nie otwiera, więc jest się zdanym wyłącznie na klimatyzację. Tym razem moje okno nie wychodziło na piękną część miasta, tylko na parking taksówek i autobusów. Łóżko wygodne, duży wybór poduszek. Super pomysłem są awaryjne zestawy kosmetyków (zestaw do golenia, mycia zębów, waciki, patyczki do uszu), a jakość płynu do mycia rąk, kąpieli oraz kremu nawilżającego jest bardzo dobra. Pościel i ręczniki bez zarzutu, czyste i pachnące. Śniadania są fantastyczne, bardzo duży wybór, nawet dla najbardziej wymagających gości, wszystko jest świeże i smaczne, pięknie podane, łącznie z live cooking (omlety!) Polecam na pewno na pierwszy pobyt w Barcelonie ze względu na łatwość dojazdu i profesjonalny kontakt z recepcją oraz bardzo pomocną obsługą. Jak zawsze: za wszystkim, co najlepsze, stoją ludzie!
Stylizacja hotelu na bazę kosmiczną była oryginalna i zaskakująca przed laty, dziś już trochę się zestarzała. Czas wyraźnie odcisnął swoje pięto na łazience: w jednej z dwóch umywalek woda spływała bardzo powoli, wanna i toaleta wymagają porządnej renowacji kub wymiany, dość trudno jest ustawić właściwą temperaturę wody, a ta potrafi być bardzo gorąca. Nie należy się sugerować określeniem queen czy king bed, bo to są zawsze dwa pojedyncze łóżka zsunięte razem z dziurą pośrodku. Telewizja oferuje niewiele programów, a ich przełączanie zajmuje sporo czasu. Lepszego oznakowania wymaga miejsce, w którym ukryty jest czajnik i zestaw do parzenia kawy i herbaty. Obsługa w restauracji jest cicha, niewidzialna, sprawna, choć nie nawiązuje właściwie żadnego kontaktu z gośćmi (nawet się nie wita), a szkoda, bo uczyniłoby to początek dnia jeszcze milszym. Moim zdaniem śniadania powinny rozpoczynać się wcześniej niż o 7, nawet w weekendy czy święta, bo nie wszyscy przyjeżdżają tylko w celach turystycznych i dzień muszą rozpocząć wiele wcześniej.
Great location. Quiet. Very modern, but quirky.
Staff unresponsive. Toilet broke down early morning. Maintenance fixed the problem after a two hour wait. Caused problems with our morning plans. Bed mattress needs replacement. Some mold in bathroom.
Das Hotel liegt direkt über der Bahnhofshalle Barcelona- Sants. Für Zugreisende ein riesiges Plus, da Fusswege oder Bus- und Taxifahrten bei der An- und Abreise entfallen. Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern auf die Stadt ist super.
Location and convenience when traveling by train is fantastic. They upgraded us to a suite and it was beautiful. The bathroom was large and we appreciated the robes and slippers. Staff were friendly and it had a fabulous breakfast buffet.
Linens were good and we really appreciated the extra pillows on the bed (3 each) so it was easy to find one that worked well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
The bidet controller didn’t work or needed new batteries.
We stayed twice, two nights at the beginning of the week and one at the end. Perfect for arriving and leaving by train. Helpful staff (I left my water bottle in the minibar and it was retrieved for me) on reception, in the bar (we had two evening meals there) and in the cafe (coffee one morning as we hadnt booked breakfast). Great advice re getting around Barcelona.

Beautiful hotel - seems perfect for business people. Formal and nice - a space theme made the hotel memorable too... space bar and spacious lobby area was super-nice.
Staff was fine, but a few of the Orbit Bar workers weren't super friendly.
Brilliant location
I didn’t like the theme, I thought it was cold and uninviting. The food offered at the bar was mediocre and the service poor.

Location was perfect. Staff very helpful. Close to everything and super convenient to be above the train station if you are traveling around.
Access from the street at night was complicated due to construction around the station.
Maybe a little more vibe is needed.
A bar with good music and cocktails would be nice.
