SpringHill Suites Gainesville

I love this hotel. I love the location it’s close to shopping area and lots of restaurants not to far from the college. And the room was huge sheets clean and the complimentary breakfast is to die for. I love that my room was far from the pool. This is like my 5th time staying at this hotel and it has never disappointed me

Room was clean and staff were pleasant. Breakfast was great. My only complaint was lack of towels and bedding. We booked a room for 6 and confirmed that the room slept that number at check in. I've learned to ask if there are enough towels provided in the room because there never are. The couch had a twin trundle bed. There was one set of bedding for the trundle but not a set for whoever was supposed to sleep on the couch, which apparently was the other "bed." We returned to the lobby and requested another set of bedding. The staff were unable to locate a pillow or blanket, but offered a of sheets. It took 2 more days to get a pillow. When the room was cleaned 2 days later, we were left with only 3 towels again. We also went to the pool twice and had to wait on towels for that both times.

We had an incredible stay. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed Mrs. Shirley at breakfast . She was incredibly kind and welcoming.

The hotel overall, is decent but getting a little rundown. Some carpet needs to be replaced, the inside of the elevator doors have foul language scratched into them, peeling paint. Little things here and there that a Marriot hotel should take care of. I was there with my daughter for a softball tournament and needed to get breakfast on the way out one morning. Breakfast time was 7am, and when I tell you, you cannot get anything before that time, I mean it. Also, there was some kind of youth group or young men’s team or something there at the same time and they screamed through the halls, destroyed property, made disgusting messes everywhere until 3/3:30 in the morning. One door was completely covered in ketchup and soda. Not really the hotels fault but security should have gotten that under control. There’s no way other people didn’t complain or hear that nonsense.

Great hotel. Mrs. SHIRLEY at breakfast was friendly and kind. It was nice to interact with her during our stay.

Great hotel, 10 mins from U of FL. Clean, well appointed rooms, great breakfast. Excellent staff in front desk and bfast lady is da best. THANK YOU!

It is always a welcoming experience

We stopped by on our way home south to Miami. We had a wonderful experience here. Staff was extremely friendly, rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. Highly recommended!

The rooms are clean but outdated, the A/C was running loud like a generator waking us up at night. The compensating factor was the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by OPRAH from the front desk, and AUDREA & RASHONDA from the kitchen. Oprah went out of her way to accommodate my request for early check in, super friendly and professional! Audrea and Rashonda were super nice, hospitable, making sure that everyone was having the best breakfast experience - the food was very good too! They turned an unpleasant experience into a memorable one. THANK YOU for your exemplary service!

This hotel was not good. While traveling in a family vacation we stopped in. Upon checking into our room it was dirty and the entire 4th floor smelled like weed. After about an hour working with the front desk I was finally moved. The hotel was virtually empty. Then I stopped by the gym which looks large and nice in the photos. Not so much. It is very small, old equipment and dirty. So I went to bed. The next morning the breakfast was the worst I have had at a Marriott. Cold eggs and coffee was literally hot water. I have stayed at a lot of Marriotts and been in a SpingHill Suites three times last month.

I would never stay here again.

We always stay here when visiting our daughter. It’s always a great experience. I wanted to give a shout out to Audrea and Zuma for a wonder breakfast experience! The food was awesome. The eggs, bacon, pancakes were delicious. And we absolutely love the avocados for our avocado toast. Audrea was the perfect breakfast host.

Excellent customer service! I felt genuinely appreciated from start to finish. The complimentary amenities, including free popcorn and bottled water, were a great touch. Highly recommend this place for the outstanding service and welcoming experience!
