We had an Awards event in the BARN. everything was great! The staff was easy to deal with and very professional. Jason and Devon went above and beyond to make the event perfect.
Location and restaurant
Small bathrooms
Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, restaurant / bar and rooms at this Curio Collection Hotel from Hilton.
Arrival and check-in were easy, and the hotel itself has a very nice feel. The room, a thoroughbred Suite was very large and super comfortable for our small group. The beds were excellent for comfort and the air conditioning worked great to keep us cool and provide a great night's rest.
The bathroom is older and a little dated but totally functional and completely adequate for anyone's needs. We liked the decor and colors, and the hotel was somewhat refreshing as opposed to cookie cutter modernity in many chains.
A couple of drinks at the beer and a wonderful, friendly wait staff rounded out by morning coffee completed our stay. If you are looking for something with a little more old-fashioned character I recommend this hotel for you.
Very clean and well maintained, good location
I don’t think it’s right that you charge for parking.
Very friendly and communicative staff. Beautiful lobby area. The room was nice and updated.
The check-in system was down so couldn't get into room for a few hours. This was not staff's fault as they tried to accommodate everyone but it did put a damper on stay.
You can put makeup on a pig, but it is still a pig.
Bathroom: It's tiny. Only one person can fit in there at a time. There is no vent in the bathroom to help reduce steam. The bathtub floor is buckled. It's a pedestal sink, so there is no place for multiple people to put their toiletries. The shower drain is clogged and will not drain adequately when showering. Lighting was excellent.
Bedroom: The door has to be slammed shut; otherwise, it will not close, and people can enter your room. The floor is uneven (seriously, so bad). The carpet needs to be replaced as it is worn and appears dirty. The window shade would not close using the pull chain. My husband worked on the window shade for 20 minutes just so we could sleep without the parking lot lights glaring in our faces. The shade will not easily raise and lower; it needs to be replaced. Most hotels like this will give you free water bottles in the room. This hotel wanted $3 per bottle of Dasnai as an in-the-room purchase. What a joke!
Parking: Plenty of parking available; however, they wanted $15 a night. Ha!
The property is convenient to UK, the rooms are comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was delicious
Slow elevator was really our only complaint
Charging for parking ???
Other than to gouge your guests why do this???
FYI- we would have had dinner at the Rackroom, but thanks to your “parking fee” , you just went -3, on dinner guests, but hey - enjoy your parking fee.
Sporting Event trip. Didn’t find too much in Lexington, but nice hotel. Normal small room. Had a nice restaurant area in the hotel. Area around was kinda boring, not for big city people. Lots of travelers at hotel. Not sure if atmosphere. Wasn’t there for long enough. People seemed nice enough. Decent value. Little much. I liked it though. Good for teams. Manager was upset about loud noise but it was a while ago
This place is extremely outdated, the smell of must and the scent on the elevators will take your breath. Walking from the outside in you would think this place would be immaculate or it would be beautiful. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this hotel because once you walk past the lobby you will see it is no better than the Motel 6. Honestly you'd be better off staying at Best Western or the nearest Holiday Inn. The rooms in this place are dark, depressing, nasty and not worth the stay. I had to keep my shoes on the entire time because the carpet reeked of odor and nastiness as well as the elevator leading to it. The bathroom in this place is GROSS!!!! Do not recommend staying here.
Jackie was awesome at the bar. Very clean and very attentive. Good food good bourbon. Definitely will be back here my next time in Lexington
Jackie was the best we had here
I liked what they were trying to do with the place.
It’s a handyman’s dream
Room was very nic
$15 parking was not told at booking, ridiculous charge.
Food for breakfast was terrible
Had a great time and the bartender, Jackie, was the best!
