Dirty beds shower knob came off and flooded the room

Seriously needs maintenance

Room was dirty from the floors to the ceiling. The bathtub had trash in it along with a German cockroach and the refrigerator was caked with ice had food in the bottom of it and the shelves were broken. There were large holes in the walls that had been poorly patched over and no security lock on the door. It looked as if it had been kicked in at some point in time. Don’t waste your money here. Only reason we stayed was due to exhaustion and after booking the room it was none refundable

1. Before even entering, the room smelled like dead rodents upon opening the door.
2. The thin blanket/comforter in the bed closet to the door had multiple holes in it.
3. The tub, walls, and door in the bathroom had visible dirt that only took a simple wipe of slightly wet rag to clean.
4. The handles in the dirty bathroom that control the flow of the hot, cold, and shower water were literally hanging out of the wall.

It is understood that the room was booked at a discounted rate, however, the conditions of this discounted room were unacceptable which made it difficult to sleep. I plan to return to the area in the near future but will look for another place to stay.

I didn't like the fact that I got up at 4am to take a shower and there was no hot water. I took my key to the desk to check out and complained about it and he said he would not reimburse me any money for my inconvenience. He told me I should've told them and they would have turned the hot water on in that room. Unbelievable!! The owner or whoever he was was very rude. I have stayed in a ton of hotels and have never experienced anything like it. I do not recommend the Motel 6 in Salem, Va. The air conditioner sounded like a big truck running off and on all night as well.

I didn't like anything there. We cancelled & didn't stay there & we can't even get our money back

Customer service

It was disgusting. Hard beds. Wouldn’t give extra pillows for a king size bed. There was black mold covered by paint under the sink. There was a wash cloth covering the leaking pipes under the sink. The shower curtain was completely broke off the wall so the shower curtain stayed in the middle of the shower and wouldn’t close. The smell was absolutely horrendous. There were MULTIPLE people complaining and canceling their rooms when we got there.
