Clean. Lobby area inviting .
Our unit didn’t have a mural ( thought all rooms had a “theme” from the description/ images I saw when booking ) Local art is a great thing, but one of the prints was slipping out of its mat( oops ) But the biggest downside was the wall unit A/C which could not catch up ( it ran Loud and Constantly the entire time )
Es muy cómodo y limpio
El desayuno solo es avena, pan tostado y pop tarts, mandarina, manzana y café
Retro style. Oatmeal breakfast . Great staff.
The air conditioning could have been alittle cooler. It was ok.
The property was nice, but management doesn’t know how to handle third party bookings.
They had no WiFi in our room, had no explanation except that they were working on it, and then come to find out they charged me twice for the room. I never would’ve known if I did not check my bank statement. They told me they would only have my card on file for incidentals, but charged it anyways.
J’ai adoré ce motel pour son côté ludique, vintage et arty.
Pour mon grand plaisir, j’étais dans la chambre Barbie. J’avais l’impression d’être dans le décor du film. Triste de quitter cette chambre et revenir dans le vraie monde
Location. Concept of there ethos. Breakfast. Great oatmeal and toppings !!! Lovely staff. Spotlessly clean
No WiFi in our original room so no TV available. Moved rooms smaller bed but ok. Very noisy air con unit
What a fantastic find. It is an amazing little motel. It’s a true original. The staff was amazing. The art was wonderful. The breakfast was great. Free coffee, Ms Pac-Man, I mean this little gem has it all!
I liked the kitchenette included in the room, as it can be convenient for longer stays. I also thought the hotel had a unique and creative concept with a fun artistic atmosphere. The property has potential and a distinctive character that initially attracted me to book my stay.
I was genuinely hoping to love Hotel McCoy, but unfortunately my experience was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had as a traveler.
One of the first things I noticed is that pets are allowed throughout the property. While I understand some travelers appreciate pet-friendly accommodations, I observed numerous guests bringing dogs in and out of rooms during my stay. Combined with the condition of the rooms, this raised serious concerns about cleanliness and pet hair throughout the property.
The first room I was assigned was unacceptable. There was blonde hair in the bathroom sink from a previous guest, dried urine spots underneath the toilet seat, and a throw blanket on the bed that was visibly covered in both human hair and dog hair despite being folded and presented as clean. Several dishes in the room also appeared unwashed.
After I reported these issues, the employee assisting me had to check multiple additional rooms in an effort to find one that was acceptable. Even the third room I was ultimately given still fell below basic cleanliness standards. This indicates a much larger problem than a single room oversight. There appears to be a serious issue with housekeeping quality control and supervisory oversight.
In addition to the cleanliness concerns, the Wi-Fi was either unavailable or not functioning properly during my stay. As a business owner, this significantly impacted me. I was unable to effectively manage my business, market my products, respond to customers, or complete work that depended on a reliable internet connection. The television in my room was also unusable during my stay.
For a stay that cost approximately $200, the experience did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, functionality, or guest comfort. I have photographs and video documentation of the conditions I encountered.
Because of the numerous issues I experienced, I believe a partial refund of $130 is reasonable and appropriate.
Clean
Bad experience. TV and WYFi were both down. No hot coffee available at 10:00. Beds were small. We had a spider in our room late at night
Nice breakfast
Everything! Friendliest staff we've encountered. The eclectic vibe is amazing! We loved the oatmeal bar and the fact that the TV in the dining room and bar played Looney Tunes... we were there on a Tuesday night and there were Irish music musicians just playing the whole evening.
Nothing...
Perfect
Nothing
A funky place to stay that has everything!
Nothing
Breakfast of "the world's longest oatmeal bar" was included. Delicious. Fresh oatmeal with all the toppings you can imagine, in addition to various milks, cream, nuts of all kinds, seeds, honey, brown sugar. Great coffee. In a cool breakfast room. In the evening in the bar there's a complimentary glass of wine. And they have a good gym. There's art everywhere including murals all around.
There was nothing we didn't like.
My gratitude goes to those who live life with heart, and to the operators who prioritize more than just profit. The hotel is imbued with an artistic atmosphere throughout, and the breakfast, too, is prepared with great care—featuring a wide variety of tea bags and excellent Arabica coffee beans.
The network imposes restrictions on outbound bandwidth; it is recommended to switch directly to Starlink.
The unique art and Saturday night live music by the pool during sunset. The hotel wine bar and morning oatmeal.
