The location of this hotel is very convenient for exploring Kilkenny city.

Cons:

We found the staff at the Ormonde Hotel somewhat surly and not particularly helpful. We paid for the breakfast on our first day - the selection was poor and the hot food was guarded by an attendant. Overall, the quality of the food was mediocre. We didn’t partake in the breakfast on subsequent mornings.

Pros:

Die Lage war super und das Zimmer sauber und gross.

Cons:

Es war sehr heiss. Es hatte keine Klimaanlage und nur einen kleinen Ventilator. Bei uns ging das kalte Wasser nicht, was es sehr unangenehm machte.

Cons:

Bagno camera messo male, doccia fredda.. Ci vorrebbe una ristrutturazione.
Pulizia un po' scarsa e colazione con poca scelta.
Per essere un 4 stelle mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio.

Won’t stay again
Cons:

I thought the staff were not friendly at the reception.. the bedroom we had was so warm.. and the breakfast you could not go and get what you wanted in the hot breakfast as the staff had to give it you.. in any hotel I have ever seems this and you pay €14.50 for the breakfast

Pros:

The proximity to the city

Cons:

The room was very stuff sue to hot weather very thankful for the fan it was lifesaver although noisy we wouldn't of been able to stay otherwise it was extremely stuffy.
I think it was very expensive for what it was and 100 cheaper or else have genius discount on it when on booking.com

Overall, a nice hotel with plenty of room for improvement. Definitely not value for money !!!!
Pros:

The location was great, very central to city attractions

Cons:

The hotel was expensive, which is fine, but be no means value for money. The room was very hot with no air conditioning.
The water from the shower was too hot with no way to get colder water, same with the water from the sink - it was very hot with no option to get it cooler. The staff were ok but could be more pleasant, plenty of staff in the bar area but really hard to get service without asking them - poorly trained I would say.
