Great hotel. Staff very friendly. Food was exactly as I ordered
Beautiful stay at the ormonde hotel for our anniversary on 22nd August. We booked 3 rooms all together and all of our rooms were spotless, well presented and had everything we needed. The hotel staff are so lovely, from housekeeping to breakfast to dinner all the staff are very welcoming and professional. We loved our stay. Thank you all at the Ormonde. Our 2nd time, and we will return.
food was fab staff were attentive
Very poor for the price , room looks very dated , no air con windows opened onto the air conditioning units , coupled with the bass from music made for a poor night sleep. Shower in a bath with hand rail made it very tight. Breakfast poor have to queue to be served by staff for any hot food (though it was cold) either allow access to the buffet or do table service. Location is central but for the price very disappointing 2/3 stars at most
Location is excellent. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Bed very comfortable.
This hotel has great potential but simple fixes let it down. Bathroom fittings need to be replaced or descaled. Small facilities items which could be fixed easily and inexpensively are not done. Cleaning is not thorough enough, stains on carpet, dust around some fixtures. Towels are old and should be replaced. Service staff need more training. Not a 4 star hotel in my opinion but could be with some changes.
We arrived to the hotel around 11am we understand check-in is 4pm however no effort was made to try have us check-in early as we only got out room 16:05 after reception had to phone housekeeping to first see if our room was ready. The lady behind reception doing the late shift was quite rude and not friendly
Lunch in the lobby area was good only downfall is no one was able to make cocktails until 5pm or they didnt have the ingredients to make the cocktail
The room was very spacious and very modern only downfall a few stains on the walls and carpets
My biggest issue is we have a small one with us and was woken up to overly loud music and people screaming at 10:30pm and this lastest till about 2am. Apon ringing reception she was very rude and saying o you on the third floor the music in the basement you shouldn't hear it. No apology nothing. The noise level of the music and the people were fluctuating so no sleep until after 2am
Breakfast was was okay powered scrambled eggs and sour nautal youghurt. The upside to breakfast is we enjoyed the self service and most of all the pancake machine.
We enjoyed our time in Kilkenny but we wouldn't rush back to this hotel

We had a lovely stay. Food and service was excellent, all the staff incredible friendly, professional and attentive. Special mention to Mags at breakfast. She was a star! Would love to stay again.

Rooms very comfortable and clean, breakfast was amazing with wide selection and location was in the heaert of the city
Great location ,comfortable bed , lovely staff and clean room ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✅ I will still come back there next time by Gods grace 🙏
