Lovely stay in a nice precinct of Honolulu. Less busy than central Waikiki
Pros:

We booked the room last minute and the price was a lot better than booking weeks ahead. The room had a beautiful skyline view over Honolulu and a bit of the ocean. Good amenities incl coffee machine and microwave. More than enough space for two people. Overall comfortable and clean. Pool and bbq area and gym were really good too.
Lovely staff at the reception and security on site 24/7. Paid laundry services on property.

Cons:

A little noisy from the city traffic, even up to the 21st floor. We could hear next-door's guests.

Staff is friendly. Location-wise, I like how it's in the middle of most of the interesting spots in the city. If walking isn't your thing, multiple bus stations are fairly close. And considering how expensive everything is in this city, rates are quite reasonable.

Cons:

Just one -- the floor felt a bit slimy. I'm not sure why. It didn't look dirty, nor did it smell. It just felt weird. I didn't report it, though. I was worried I'd get charged extra for it. I asked someone I traveled with who stayed in a different room. She said her room was carpeted and didn't mention anything about the bathroom, so it doesn't seem like she had a similar experience.

I liked to location the stay was warm and friendly
Pros:

The staff was very sweet and so helpful!!

Cons:

The ac unit was loud. The beds moved that was a little annoying having to stay with my kids. But other than that it was a nice stay the pool was really nice too.

Friendly staff from pm shift to 12midnight...forgot their names but these 2 ladies always smiling and welcoming ...we were there for a tennis tournament for 4 days ... These 2 ladies were awesome ...a few days after they switched to the morning shift but still was a pleasant way to start off our days coming down to the lobby and seeing their friendly smiles .

Worry-free stay, great customer service
Pros:

Kana at the front desk was amazing, before I got to Hawaii, I called and she answered all the questions I had. At arrival it was a bit difficult to find the lobby and she was there again, to help me find the lobby, going so far as to look out on the street to see where I was. The room was simple and clean. There is air conditioning and Hawaiin coffee to brew. There were plenty of shops and places to eat nearby

Pros:

La ubicación, estaba cerca de varios lugares de interés.

Cons:

El trato de la administración, quiso cancelar mi reserva por no entender algo sobre un pago realizado. Fue muy descortés, la gerente de administración. Encontré un animal en mi cama y por el techo del baño estaba filtrando agua, tuvieron que cambiarme de habitación, en general las instalaciones requieren mantenimiento.

A little staycation here at the Waikiki monarch hotel. First things first there is no parking to get access to the hotel lobby. There is a parking garage at the hotel but not owned by-the hotel $50 a day cash only. Second thing second had to park six blocks away for meter parking. They already started off wrong. Get into a hotel room. Hotel room is Large window city view. No hygiene supplies provided no carpeted floors for it to be 44 stories and we’re on floor 23 all tile floor floors, an old-fashioned AC unit dirty filter, a 24 inch flatscreen TV on the wall same size as the microwave. I would say more but we just got into the hotel and I haven’t really experienced yet because I have to walk six blocks back to mycar to get luggage because hotel has no parking that they own $50 a day cash only.
