Breakfast was good.
First impression on the property, it looks good. Check in was quick and was told that they charge $10 to park per night and that not told anywhere.
Elevator is a little concerning. The door was all scuffed up.
Walk into the room, it was ok. Small kitchen and sofa. Sofa is old but ok.
Walk into the bathroom and smelled like piss and moldy shower curtain.
Wiped the floor with wet towel and helped a bit. The moldy sour shower curtain smell was really bad. This is usually my measure of how good a hotel is and this one failed!!!
Did not get to eat
I thought we requested @ handicap room. It was SO far to walk I barely made it. Then when using the restroom, the toilet as so low and NO grab bars I had to get help getting up. Even in the night.
The bed was very comfy and kitchenette was nice for morning coffee. BUT! The icemaker did not work for our cold drinks. After paying over $250. I did expect to be able to have it handicap acessable when we ordered that.
Fairly nice work area and wi-fi was good. It made for a few hours to do work before my check in. Staff was very very nice. Snacks to buy at night very nice, and music in the morning—piano and birds chirping was very pleasant even though it may drive the workers a bit cra cra.
Breakfast was weak with signs saying "only take one so other guest can eat" on egg and sausage trays. Others complained that only one bagel was left. I felt the place is so tight on funds, they are going under. The pool was deceptively photographed to look larger. Worked for one night, but not a repeat.
The room had a full kitchen
The doors have springs that slam shut, so you hear doors slamming all day and night!! It’s a nightmare . The front desk guy is rude if you extended your stay..with your card on file he calls you none stop to come down to get a new key. Some guy with a blower starts blowing leaves at 6:00 am for about 2 hours.. waking up to a blower is a nightmare! The beds are terrible I have back pain now
The ample space in suites.
Rooms were very clean!
The dirty pool water. Sofas were a bit old and dirty.
Property was nice well lit up clean
Nothing
The location
Room was dirty.
No probe el desayuno, la ubicacion es muy buena
Faltaban implementos en la cocina, no habia manta o almohadas extra para el sofá cama
You might want to avoid this property. I checked into San Diego and some hotels are mixed use for both guests and homeless. Not sure if this is one of these hotels but it sure seemed like it with the pot smoking so rampant, you'd get a contact high from passing the rooms... and pretty odd and obviously psychiatric issues wandering past and occupying rooms. Had to change a room bc one of the psychiatric "guests" was stomping across the floor nonstop for hours. Yes hours. Nonstop. After 4 hours of it, (yes I asked the front desk to address it, but even the front desk guy looked pretty red eyed/glassy eyed and chose to do nothing) I was able to get a different room (after they previously told me they were sold out).
And of course, wait for it... Like all hotels that read not very complementary reviews, expect that their response will be: denial, "wrong hotel," "you're mistaken, we have policies against that..." "we have no record of your stay." Etc. So probably zero accountability. But like I say, especially if you are using this hotel for a vacation, you might want to think about the hundreds of other choices in the area.
The location was prime.
The extra $164.03 that was charged to my card after I had already paid.
There was no breakfast on some days.
Nice location
Breakfast was supposed to be included and staff had no idea. First gave us a time then it was don’t know what happened to no breakfast available
I recently spent 28 days at Sonesta ES Suites due to a temporary relocation caused by plumbing repairs in my home, and unfortunately, my experience was quite frustrating. Communication was a significant issue, as the young woman at the front desk struggled with English, making it difficult to obtain even the simplest information. When I decided to extend my stay for one more night, I made the payment through Booking.com. Later, I noticed an unauthorized charge of $1,627.16 on my debit card. When I inquired about the charge, the same woman was unable to provide an explanation. I requested to speak with a manager, but she informed me that he was unavailable and would not return until Monday. As a result, I had to open a dispute with my bank, and I am currently waiting for a refund. While the room itself was adequate, the condition of the bedding was unacceptable. I found yellow stains on both the duvet and sheets, which is far below the standard I expect from a hotel. Additionally, the laundry room had several broken washing machines, and those that were functional had slime in them. I hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve the experience for future guests.
