Totally enjoyed stay! Wish we could have booked for two additional day, but place was booked up.

Room was horrible dirty. The bed was full of other people's hair. When went to the front desk he moved me and my family to a different room. We had the same issues in this room, very dirty and a bunch of hair in the beds. When I asked if we could just get new bedding (we had no where else to go at this point) he said sure I will get it and you can make the beds yourselves

Please help me understand why am I stay with so horrible.
Pros:

I'm sorry there was nothing to highlight at the hotel. We enjoyed being out and away from the hotel. I should have asked for a refund and went elsewhere.

Cons:

We booked the Elevation Inn & Suites based on the good reviews. However, it was completely different from what any of the reviews had said and was really misleading. I am a video blogger and had reached out to the company beforehand and told them that I would be making a video on the surrounding Rapid City area and the hotel, Elevation Suites. They were totally excited about me going there and even upgraded my room to a king suite. When my wife and I arrived at Elevation Suites, there was a worker hanging out by the pool area smoking cigarettes. As we approached the front entryway, there was a guy leaning over the railing throwing up. As we went inside, there was a terrible odor that filled the entire hotel. We weren't sure what it was, but it really smelled musty, wet, and old. When we got to our room, this is always the big reveal for me to see the cleanliness, organization, and just the all-over setup. As we went in, it seemed the carpets were wet, moldy towels had holes and rips in them, there was hack or loogies on the ceiling and behind the bathroom door, and there were stains on the carpet. It's just mind-boggling that I mentioned I was coming here to do a review, and the room was like this. It's just unbelievable. We went ahead and got settled in to give it a benefit of the doubt. I removed my shoes when I was getting ready to take a shower, and as my wife was looking at my feet, my feet were black from the carpet. So, I'm not sure what was on the carpet, but after that, we had to wear sandals the whole time we were in the room. So the next morning we went to breakfast and they had sausage, egg, and the normal options for breakfast, but they had that for the entire stay; they were almost seeming to reheat the sausage and reheat the eggs from the previous morning. I would love a manager or an owner to reach out to me and help me understand why my stay was so horrible after spending thousands of dollars to stay here.

our room was good. the beds comfortable and a very nice TV that unfortunately wasn't used very long due to tiredness. Breakfast was fair. I liked the quick access to I-90 when leaving.

Cons:

the shower was subpar. Great water pressure at the faucet, but very weak stream out of the shower head.
the room was noisy to outside traffic, primarily motorcycle noise that was intrusive to our room.
