Run down rooms- needs attention to gutters. Sink tap, bed rolling

Creepy men outside when we arrived and left
Room door was not locked when we arrived and only 1 tiny milk in fridge

it was all a bit old and tired looking. Pillows were not great. it was fine for one night

The place was filthy. Couldn’t walk on pool patio area for filth. I did throw a bucket of water over but needed disinfectant an a mop

Rooms were unclean and of low quality. The general hotel felt eerie and empty with unusual people hanging around at night.

Wry old and run down. Bathroom probably 30 years old. Windows don’t open, old and grubby curtains and nets that don’t open or close fully. 3 cups only in kitchen and a jug. Run down buildings

Smoking area far from room

I understand that this hotel is older hence the cheaper pricing but some basic cleanliness and usability would be nice.
When we arrived we had to drive our van over a very bumpy dirt driveway that was full of multiple pot holes and water. One of the holes was longer than our van!
The whole apartment floor was sticky, the toilet floor was especially sticky. Kitchen was poorly set up. No cleaning Cloth to simply wipe the benches and table. All the faucet facilities are outdated and hard to turn off fully so there was always a dripping tap somewhere. The shower curtain was very Mouldy. The hot water took over a minute at times to get 'hot', sometimes not reaching this point at all. We stayed long enough to get free room service and I asked if cleaning the floors were included in this. They assured me it was and I requested it to be done. It was not done when we got home. I would have done it myself but there was no broom provided. The rooms fans were totally dusty as well as the air con. The outdoor tiles and stair area was grossly sticky and in need of a gerney. The toilet flush button didn't always work properly and the toilet would run continually because of this.

Upstairs

Lack of parking, nowhere near enough for the number of rooms. Not enough hot water, had several cold or tepid showers. Weather was cold and rainy during our stay. Facilities look tired. Don’t like the placement of smoking areas, often smell smoke in your room.

- there are levels. If you don't want stairs, ask for a ground level apartment. I wish I'd known.
- on-site parking is limited. Like, 10 spots for more than 60 units. Street parking is the go. Worth knowing ahead of time.
- Services like change of towels is on request only. If you don't ask for fresh towels or replenished stocks, you don't get them.
- the laundry is open during the hours you're likely to be out doing tourist things.
- be okay with cockroaches. They're small, but there were 3 or 4 during our stay. Not heaps, but present.
