The location is exceptional! The room was excellent! The pool is amazing!! The beach is the beach! The hotel vibe is unmatched. The property is sparkle clean. The service from staff is the best.

Cons:

Access to ice is not the easiest. The drink prices are a little high.

Great location. Pool area was uncrowded with plenty of sun loungers

Cons:

Elevators only working to 5th floor. We were on the 6th so had to take the fire escape staircase to our room. Room was not clean and we had to deal with a few cockroaches during our stay.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Sagamore Hotel, but unfortunately one major issue significantly impacted our vaca
Pros:

The location is excellent, right on South Beach and within walking distance of many great cafés and restaurants. The beach itself was very well maintained and, on regular days, not overcrowded. The coffee at the hotel was good, and our room was spacious, although a bit dated. The ocean view was nice.

Cons:

We arrived early and asked whether early check-in was available, even for an additional fee, but were told we couldn’t be accommodated until 2:00 PM. They did offer us an ocean-view room (which I had paid for) that was available on the 6th floor. However, the elevator only went to the 5th floor, requiring guests to carry their luggage up another flight of stairs. Since I was traveling with elderly family members who couldn’t manage the stairs, we had no choice but to wait. While disappointing, we understood the situation. (Since official check in is at 4 pm).

The biggest issue, however, was that we happened to stay during the FIFA Club World Cup, and the hotel decided to host large public viewing events whenever Argentina played. This meant that huge crowds of non-hotel guests were allowed into the pool area.

The first match was in the evening, and the noise continued until around midnight, making it impossible to sleep. The second match started in the morning, and by 11:00 AM the entire pool area was occupied by event attendees. Although the hotel had sent an email notifying guests about the event in advance, they offered no alternative amenities for those who had paid to stay at the hotel but were not interested in watching soccer.

I had to go to the front desk myself to ask what hotel guests were supposed to do. The front desk employee didn’t know and had to call the manager. Even the manager wasn’t sure—he mentioned there were other hotels whose pools we might be able to use but couldn’t even tell us which ones. I ended up suggesting that the hotel cover the cost of an additional beach chair and umbrella instead, and thankfully he agreed to arrange that.

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. To access the beach, guests had to walk through the event area, where security wouldn’t let me pass without an event bracelet, even after I showed my room key.

Amazing family vacation on South Beach!
Pros:

My family and I had an incredible time at the Sagamore hotel. The pool environment was impeccable, and the beach access was ideal. When we hung out by the pool, Mickey was alwys coming round to make sure we had everything we needed, and made my family feel very well looked after. Also, the food was great, we had breakfast there every day, and loved the tasty pizzas and sandwiches. We would go back in a heartbeat.
