Bellissima struttura collocata su una baia da sogno. Personale molto accogliente, pronto a risolvere ogni esigenza tempestivamente. Ottime le offerte di attività e i servizi. Bellissimo lo shop interno. Molto apprezzata la possibilità di sedersi ai tavoli vicini al ristorante con uno snack o drink del bar.

We truly could not have picked a more perfect place to have our wedding. The Catamaran is absolutely beautiful, but what made the experience so special was the incredible people there. From beginning to end, everyone was kind, accommodating, thoughtful, and made us and our families feel like royalty.

And Lisa was the literal MVP of our entire wedding weekend. She went above and beyond for us in every possible way and somehow made every interaction and every experience even better than the one before it. She was warm, thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and always made us feel like our wedding genuinely mattered to her. Having someone like Lisa there throughout such an important weekend meant more to us than we can say.

The venue itself was everything we could have hoped for. It was absolutely beautiful, our guests loved it, and being able to have such an incredible weekend with our closest friends and family all in one place made it even more special.

We will treasure the memories we made at the Catamaran for the rest of our lives. It will forever be such a special place to us, and we are so grateful to Lisa and the entire team for the way they took care of us and our families. I genuinely cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else.

Property setting, grounds, location were very nice. The resort was clean and well maintained. Staff were attentive and nice. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool towels were good quality. Easy to walk around.

Absolutely amazing hotel grounds. Quiet and relaxing, but super close to the beach. Lots of families with kids, and a great option for them

The atmosphere was tropical. You felt like you were in a tropical paradise. It was peaceful and at the same time fum whether at the pool or the beach or any of the sitting areas. We will be back and I don't like going back to the same place but this place is different and worth repeating.

We stayed at Catamaran Resort as a e generational family trip. it was perfect for all. lawn chairs looking out at bay. happy hour prices 3 nights if you want to eat early! rode a bike surrey across the street to the ocean. luau was great. kids went to sea world one day and did private encounter with penquin and sea otter. a relaxing and fun week.

Saw quite a few negative reviews on this place before we arrived. Gotta say I disagree with the poor reviews. We really enjoyed our stay, the only downside was we only stayed for 2 nights. Check in was easy and we self parked. Our room was ready prior to check in time so we could get in early. The room was massive and even had a kitchen area. We were given a small diary from the hotel manager as a gift which was a nice touch. We were also gifted a complimentary $50 to spend on food or drink. We hit the pool straight away and were happy to see complimentary pool towels. Pool area was good, maybe a little small but adequate enough as we were only there for a short time. There is an arcade area for kids and the the machines are free to play which is a nice touch. On returning to our room there was a plate of fruit and a plate of cheese and crackers for us, another nice touch. The lobby area was really nice with a waterfall and little river running through it with big fish in it. The surrounding area was really nice and a short 2 minute walk to the main beach. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Dante was amazing, he kindly took my request to move me to another part of the hotel. I was upgraded to a phenomenal room at no extra charge. This really showed phenomenal customer service and I greatly appreciate his personal touch to really make this family vacation so memorable! Five stars for Dante! *****

It’s so close to beach 7 min walk and just so easy to walk back and forth along w great amenities and extra things to do in the evenings at the resort.

Great location

Catamaran Resort and Spa – Average at best, and a real letdown given the price and location
We stayed at the Catamaran Resort and Spa expecting a solid San Diego beach experience. What we got was disappointing.
Check-in was basic they just handed us a key. Then came the $55 parking charge, which felt steep. The rooms themselves feel old and dated and are in desperate need of a full refit. We were placed in a tower room that faced the car park. If the room descriptions had been clearer about views and building type, we would have booked a proper beach-facing room outside the tower. Paying premium rates for an outdated space with that outlook felt like a waste.
Beach facilities were also underwhelming. Beyond roughly 20 wooden deck chairs (all taken by 11 a.m.), there was nothing special available. Like others have noted, it almost feels as if they expect you to bring your own beds and umbrellas. The pool is tiny and constantly crowded, so that wasn’t much of an alternative either.
The location itself is excellent — that’s the one clear positive. You’re right by the water in a great spot. Unfortunately the property doesn’t live up to it. The rooms are too expensive for what you actually get, and the overall experience never rose above average.
Would only recommend if you can lock in a confirmed ocean-view room outside the tower and go in with very modest expectations. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
