An icon with some shortcomings
Pros:

The hotel has certainly the benefits of a five star hotel.
Impeccable service, dedicated personnel, high standards of amenities. We had a luxury room with sea view balcony. The views were spectacular, mainly the view of the old city. The bed was super comfortable with a duvet of high quality. The AC does not make any noice. The size of the room was OK. Not really spacious. The TV was rather small in comparison with the size of the room. The housekeeping was OK. Nothing to complain about. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. And the service in the breakfast room was fast and professional . On the sun terrace the sun loungers are abundant ass well as the parasols. And there is always personal to help you to install your self comfortably. A great benefit is the fact that the city gate of the old town is just five minutes walking away.

Cons:

We were disappointed about the food in the restaurants. It is like other people said in previous reviews: basic. For instance: the gnocchi with shrimps (as announced in the menu) had no shrimps but just some small pieces of shrimp. The plate was OK but had nothing to do with “fine dining”. The cod was not tasteful at all. It didn’t make the impression of fresh fish. We complained and we were offered an other dish what we did not want.
The hotel has lots of young people to serve you. They are pleasant and fully enthusiastic. But the hotel should invest in their education so they can advise you about the wines on the wine list. Now they have no idea about the wines and sometimes have trouble to open the bottle.

Perfect place to stay for exploring Dubrovnik- recommend staying in the old part
Pros:

Perfect location, so close to the old part of Dubrovnik. Room was comfortable and had a lovely balcony. Food was good

Cons:

The price was so high. And the rooms quite small despite us upgrading to a much better too

Truly, an amazing property, no other place I would stay in Dubrovnik, but expensive
Pros:

Absolutely the most beautiful location you can imagine with views of the water and the old town. Easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the old town. But just outside the touristy area so that it’s nice and quiet at night. Amazing property.
