Was told over the phone that I could use my debit for damage deposit as I have done with other locations. When I arrived staff told me they could not accept my card and denied talking to me over the phone earlier that day.
It was clean room, good size and comfortable. The breakfast is included and lots of options. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Location was far from most attractions. Area seemed safe.

First of all, my husband and I are from the United States and we had a family member with a medical emergency that we had to come to Canada for an undetermined amount of time. My husband booked our hotel, car rental and flight in less than an hours time and we just hoped for the best!
I would like to mention the hotels we typically stay at just to indicate our expectations: Best Western, Holiday Inn and Hilton (typically)
We selected this best western location as it appeared to be closest to our destination which was Royal Columbian Hospital (about 20 minute drive) as we were not familiar with the area
Upon entry the hotel is very clean and inviting, offering lemon water and iced tea and a cozy sitting area
The staff at the front desk, well, I cannot express how kind and compassionate and willingness to help and offering their assistance in any way necessary. Night shift, day shift EVERYONE that was at that front desk was accommodating to our every needs. We even had to make changes twice (move rooms and changed length of stay) and they never hesitated to take care of us and accommodate our stay requests. This courtesy was not just extended to us. Every customer that approached that front desk while we were there was greeted with the same courtesy, Open arms, a smile and what can I do to help you! (And this was observed many times in our 3 week stay).
We arrived at our room that appeared at first somewhat dated however it was very clean and comfortable. We only had one issue while we were there which was just an additional request, we requested that our hot water be turned a little warmer. The front desk staff put in the request to maintenance and our request was immediately addressed to our complete satisfaction!
The hotel cleaning staff do a fantastic job of ensuring the hotel and our rooms are always clean and tidy (daily room cleaning service) and bathroom supplies were always fully replaced. It was so comforting to come back to after a long day at the hospital.
The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast. The staff in the breakfast room were always friendly and efficient and maintained a clean and stocked breakfast bar. A very especially friendly employee of the breakfast area was Sarika. Always a welcoming “good morning” “hello” and “anything you need” is her greeting each morning. She went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction as well.
They also have a very well maintained pool and hot tub! Always very clean! After being in the hospital all day we found a picnic table provided by the hotel for the guests just out in the front parking lot to sit which turned out to be one of our favorite places.
So in case you haven’t figured out my rating ….if I could give more than five stars, I would!
