Top Lage für Sightseeing und trotzdem ruhige Zimmer
This was a very last minute booking because the Eurostar cancelled our train from Amsterdam, so we had to make our way to Brussels and arrived after midnight. The check in was very quick and they prepared an extra bed for us (we were 3 and were prepared to all sleep in the one bed). The bed was very comfortable. It's right in the Grand Place - which was packed with people at 1am, but the room was very quiet
The AC took ages to cool down - I put it on 10 (the coldest) and full fan but it took hours to get to a comfortable temperature. There's a shortage of plugs in the room. The conceigerge made a bit of a snarky comment about how much luggage we had. For the price (>€300 for 1 night) I would have expected a bit more service like taking our luggage to the room, even at 1am. The view is of a construction site
Zeer schone en sfeervolle kamer. Midden in het centrum.
This hotel is in a great location, both for accessing public transport and for walking around beautiful Brussels. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was issues with the elevators during my stay so only one was working for a few days which was annoying. The room however was lovely and clean and comfortable. If you feel like having dinner in the hotel restaurant Rotisse - trust me and order the chicken ! It’s a wonderful dish. I was there during a heatwave and the ac was really struggling so if you know a heatwave is likely and you’re gonna need AC it might be good to do some research first. The hotel is very central so it does get noisy - earplugs recommended.
Personally I would definitely be happy to stay here again. It’s really a great location and feels safe clean and comfortable.
The location and the breakfast
Het was goed koel op de kamer.
Alles was perfect 👍
I rated my stay lower than my experience at the Rotterdam Marriott. The location is excellent, 3 stops by tram 4 or tram 10 from the Train Station Brussels Zuid.
I found the hotel to be less modern, with furnishings that felt somewhat outdated. My room on the sixth floor had small, high windows that provided very little view and made the room feel less bright and inviting. I was also disturbed by street noise throughout the night despite the windows being closed. This may have been influenced by the Fête de la Musique celebrations taking place during my stay, but it nevertheless affected the overall comfort of the experience.
Beware of this hotel!!! The AC DOES NOT WORK. It’s 92 degrees outside and so hot in the hotel. I have spoken to other guests who have had the same issue!!!
However the staff tried hard to help with AC issues. I own a travel agency so service is important.
The other issue I had is that the towels were not fresh. One in particular had a horrible odor.
The hotel is well situated but ask for a room away from the Beer Museum. People were up all night sitting on the steps of the building and it was loud.
The bathrooms and rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Too bad there wasn’t AC.
They had a good breakfast buffet and plenty to choose from.
The AC was so important to get a respite from the heat so I don’t know if I could recommend at this point.
